On Saturday, October 24, after having visited the tombs of Princess Nukata and the Princess of Tōchi, from there, Mr. Takebe drove us to the inn, Japanese Village Hirai-Tei (和の庄 平井亭) in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, that receives a limited one group per day, and we stayed there.
We arrived at the inn just past 3:30, and it was too early, so I thought I wanted to take a look at the marked nearby Magaibutsu (摩崖仏: Buddha statues in cliffs and rocks) but we couldn't find it.
There was the site of a tragic incident that took place in 1961 a few minutes away from the inn, so I asked Mr. Takebe to drive the car and to take me there, but, a few villagers caught my eye and I said, "Let's go back, Mr. Takebe," and we immediately left the village.
Somehow I felt like I should have been considerate...no, I became to feel like I had to be considerate.
I felt the same way at the inn.
...
It's nice to stay in a limited group. It's quiet.
When I was led to the room and opened the shoji door, there was a big Nabari river flowing slowly in front of me.
When I looked at the river, I felt a kite or a hawk was flying with being conscious of us.
After a while, I found out that it was flying with its big wings spread consciously, as I thought.
Hmmm...I won't write the answer here. That shall be a fun thing when you visit there.
I had seen the beautiful kingfisher for the first time in decades! It was so beautiful.
What! there were cormorants chasing after fishes, waterfowls swimming around in the water like cormorants, and many big carp under the window, so we never got tired of looking at the river all day long. It was a so great inn that we were able to fully enjoy nature.
The landlady said, "2 people can be a group, 3 or 4 people can be a group, and even 20 people can be a group."
Now that you can stay at 35% cheaper with the GOTO Travel Campaign, it's an absolutely great deal and I recommend this inn!
However, because it is limited to one group per day, it may be difficult to make the reservation.
A dish and a view are also the best.
