旱魃で、ただでさえいかん農業が停止状態なのだろう。生産があがらず経済が回らないなか、食料価格が上がるのは大変厳しいかと思われる。

人口の1/4ほどが本年4月から6月にかけて危機的なレベルの食糧危機を迎えかねない、といつもの内容。440万が危機に―というわけだが、いまだって340万人は危機状態で、100万の増加はsharp increaseではあるのだが、統計上の数字とみえてどうも危機感が薄くなるように思う。…常に危機状態ですしね…。
「New food security assessments indicate that 4.4 million people – nearly a quarter of the population – could face “crisis” levels of food insecurity (IPC Phase 3 or higher) between April and June 2025, marking a sharp increase from 3.4 million people currently experiencing acute hunger.」
旱魃！ 飢饉！ というのだが、気候変動の影響だと言ってしまってよいのでは。いやたまに大雨は降るんだ。家々をまるっと沈めるほど。しかし治水の用意がないのだろう。結局農業生産を壊滅させたままに終わる。

The effects of erratic rainfall and riverine flooding in key agricultural areas – such as Hiraan, Middle Shabelle and Middle Juba –further devastated crops.」
そうして各家庭は収入を失う。ほかの人々も地物の食料を得られない。子供たちは食うものもない―そうして2025年は170万人ほどの5歳以下の子供たちが栄養不足に陥る見込み。それは将来の経済に大いに影響する。
「According to the latest report by the global food security tracker, IPC, 1.7 million children under five are expected to suffer from acute malnutrition in 2025, including 466,000 with severe acute malnutrition – an increase of 9 per cent compared to last year.」
対応は―と言われても、そりゃもう多方面にわたるので、これほんとどうすればいいんだろう。
