裕也は、交差点を無事に渡った。

裕也は、それははじめて味わう不思議な感覚だった。
彼は天空から自身の心に声を感じた。
（裕也。私たちは帝釈天と言います。
　あなたは、魔族のものに仏法を教えました。
　紛れもなく仏法の行者です。
　私たちは、あなたを必ず守ります。
　安心しなさい）
帝釈天は、微笑んでいた。

裕也はそう感じた。
彼は、何も気にしない。
いつでも命を捨てる覚悟があるからである。

デアーは、暗殺に失敗した。

「裕也には、少しの魔物の気配もなく。
　殺意もない。
　彼は普通の人間だ」デアーは、言った。

「それならなぜ殺せなかった？」暗殺僧は言う。

「仏法の守護神に守られている。
　裕也は、悪魔ではない」デアーは、言った。

「だが今度は、俺の番だ。
　彼が毒を飲んだらどうだ。
　彼は、死ぬだろう。
　情（なさけ)はなしだ。」暗殺僧ヤァーは、言った。

裕也は、午前中の仕事が終わり、会社の食堂に向かう。
エレベーターが着く。
中は食道に向かう人で一杯である。
いつもの何気ない風景である。
裕也は、ぎゅうぎゅう詰めなエレベーターに乗り込んだ。
「チン」エレベータが７階の食堂についた。
どっと人が流れ出る。
裕也も流れ出てそのまま注文窓口に並ぶ。
（何を食べようかなぁ）
裕也は、ウキウキ、これから起こることを何も知らない。
（厨房の中をみると見慣れない人がいる。
　彼は海外の人かな？流行（はやり）だな）裕也は、思った。

「お兄さん。今日は、カレーが美味しいよ。
　どうしますか？」ヤァーが誘う。

暗殺僧ヤァーは、食堂の受付として潜り込んだのである。
潜り込むのは、簡単であった。
彼は食堂の従業員の後をつけ、知り合いになり、彼に毒の水を飲ませた。
毒と言ってっも２日ぐらい腹をこわす程度である。そして、まんまと、替わりに入った。
裕也は、カレーが好きでよく食べる。
「じゃー。カレーライス」
「これをかけると凄く美味しくなります。」
ヤァーは、粉状のものを振りかけた。
「そうなの。サンキュー」
裕也は、カレーライスを持って席に向かった。

試合が開始される。
両者は、並んで礼をする。
先鋒の浪速剛剣の山内と陸運志気の名越が前に出る。
一礼する。
中央で向かい合い屈（かが）む。
（華奢（きゃしゃ）な！
　こんなやつ一撃で倒してやる）
山内は、思った。

号令（ごうれい）がかかる。
「はじめー－－－ぇ！」

２人は、向き合って互（たが）いを凝視（ぎょうし）する。

辺（あた）りが暗く霞（かす）んでいく。
「何か雰囲気がおかしくない？」
真菜美は、朋子に問いかけた。
「う。うん」
朋子は、愛想（あいそ）ない。
試合に集中しているのか？

名越から黒い気が浮かび上がっている。
妖気（ようき）と言うのが正しいかもしれない。
面の奥の目が青く輝く。

山内は、恐怖した。
意識（いしき）が束縛（そくばく）されていく。
（う。うぅぅ）
「バシィーー！」
山内は、一撃（いちげき）で面を打たれ気絶（きぜつ）して倒（たお）れた。
山内は、立ち上がらない。
倒れたままである。

審判（しんぱん）は、驚（おどろ）いて駆（か）け寄（よ）る。
「君（きみ）大丈夫（だいじょうぶ）かい」
肩（かた）を叩（たた）く。
山内の意識が戻った。
「う」
係員（かかりいん）が来る。
「医務室に」
念（ねん）のために医務室（いむしつ）に連れていかれた。
名越も我に返った。
「俺、勝ったの？」
「すごかった」
みんなが祝福（しゅくふく）する

（天導！あれは、闇が取り着いている。
　この試合負けるぞ）
イクタスが話しかけた。
（でも、手を出すな！）
神海は、言い放った。
（それは、無理だな）

試合が再開される。
つぎは、次鋒戦である。

次鋒の浪速剛剣の斎藤と陸運志気の上脇が前に出る。
一礼する。
そして、屈み竹刀（しない）を向き合わせる。
「はじめー－－－－－ぇ」

斎藤から白光（はっこう）の気が放たれる。
上脇からは、黒い気が放たれる。

今度は、両者、ひるまない。
乗っ取られた２人の意識。
戦いは、神々の戦いになるのか？

「おかしいよ。これ」
朋子は、悲（かな）し気（げ）な声をだす。
「うん。止めないと」
（でも、どうすればいいの？アクティスさん！）
真菜美は、何もすることのできない自分が腹立たしかった。
