Duck

There are many ducks in the pond near my house.

Some people feed them.

Ladybug

There was a 'ladybug' or a 'ladybird' on the leaf of begonia.

Praying mantis

I saw a praying mantis on the passage way when I was cleanig the passage.

After taking a picture of this, I made it free.

Gecko on the window

Every summer some 'geckoes' or 'house lizards' come on the windows in the kitchen.

Though its belly is white and , the back is black and looks grotesque a little.

They catch very little bugs during the summer season.



I enjoy watching them.

Spider

In the yard, a spider is waiting for a quarry at the center of cobweb.

Bee on the flower

A bee gathering honey was on the flower of 'be-ko-ni-a'.
I see few bees these days.
They seem to be preparing for passing the winter now.

Frog

There are some frogs on the windows of our kitchen.

They catch and eat tiny insects at night throughout summer.
We can see their bellies from inside of the windows.
And we also see some geckoes (house lizard) there.

At the end of summer they disapper.

Praying mantis

Among 'Spider Lily or Amaryllis' was 'a praying mantis.'

Praying mantis is 'ka-ma-ki-ri' in Japanese.
It looks like a leaf of the flower.

Red-crowned crane

There are some 'red-crowned cranes ' by the yard of Sun Road Kibiji.

The top of the head is red.
It is called 'Tanchou zuru' in Japanese.

It is settled to 'The Bird of Hokkaido.'
And now, the bird is designated as 'A Precious Nature Treasure.'
It is a kind of birds that is in danger of extinction.

There are many kinds of animal, plant, insect and so on that are in danger of extinction, and some have already died out.
As a result, an ecologcal system must be out of order.

So, we should take good care of them for the precious earth and for ourselves too.

A crane lives for a thousand years and a tortoise for ten
thousand.
A cat has seven lives.
Both are the saying about the creatures that lives long happily.

After rain

A snail was on the wall.
Though I don't usually see many snails in this season, it apperaed after rain.

Grasshopper

There was a grasshopper on the window screen.

FROG

I saw a frog among the leaves of the flower.

Isn't it cute?
