さて、ペルシャの王クロスの第一年に、エレミヤの口による主の言葉が実現するように、主はペルシャの王クロスの霊を奮い立たせ、彼はその全地に布告し、またこのことを文書にしたためて言いました。
2 ペルシャの王クロスはこう言う。
「天の神である主は地のすべての国を私に与え、ユダにあるエルサレムに、主の家を建てるようにと私に命じられた。
3 あなたがたのうちに、そのすべての民のうちに、その神がともにおられる者があれば、ユダにあるエルサレムに上って、イスラエルの神である主の家を建てさせなさい！
４また、彼らが寄留しているどの場所でも、残っている者達は、その場所の人々に、エルサレムにある神の家のための自由意志による供え物のほかに、銀、金、財、獣をもってそれを助けさせなさい！」
4 残る者はみな、その者を援助するようにせよ。どこに寄留しているにしても、その所から、その土地の人々が、エルサレムにある神の宮のために進んでささげるささげ物のほか、銀、金、財貨、家畜をもって援助せよ。』」
5 そこでユダとベニヤミンの先祖の家の長、祭司およびレビ人、すなわち神がエルサレムにある主の家を建てるために上らせようと、その霊をかき立てられた者がみな立ち上がりました。
6 彼らのまわりにいる者はみな、進んでささげるもののほかに、銀の器、金、財貨、家畜、尊いもので、その手を強めました。

？7 また、クロス王はネブカドネザルがエルサレムから持ち出した主の家の器を持ち出して自分の神々の家に置きました。？
7 クロス王は、ネブカデネザルがエルサレムから持って来て、自分の神々の宮に置いていた主の宮の用具を運び出した。

8 ペルシャの王クロスは財務長官ミスレダトの手で、これらの器を運び出して、ユダの王子シェシバザルに数を告げました。
9 その数は次のとおりです。
金の盆３０個、銀の盆１０００個、刃物９２本。
10 金の鉢３０個、銀の鉢２種４１０個、その他の器１０００個。
11 金と銀の器は全部で５４００個でした。
捕囚の民がバビロンからエルサレムに引き上げられた時、シェシバザルはこれらをすべて持ち帰りました。

2 「ペルシヤの王クロスは言う。『天の神、主は、地のすべての王国を私に賜った。この方はユダにあるエルサレムに、ご自分のために宮を建てることを私にゆだねられた。
3 あなたがた、すべて主の民に属する者はだれでも、その神がその者とともにおられるように。その者はユダにあるエルサレムに上り、イスラエルの神、主の宮を建てるようにせよ。この方はエルサレムにおられる神である。
4 残る者はみな、その者を援助するようにせよ。どこに寄留しているにしても、その所から、その土地の人々が、エルサレムにある神の宮のために進んでささげるささげ物のほか、銀、金、財貨、家畜をもって援助せよ。』」
5 そこで、ユダとベニヤミンの一族のかしらたち、祭司たち、レビ人たち、すなわち、神にその霊を奮い立たされた者はみな、エルサレムにある主の宮を建てるために上って行こうと立ち上がった。
6 彼らの回りの人々はみな、銀の器具、金、財貨、家畜、えりすぐりの品々、そのほか進んでささげるあらゆるささげ物をもって彼らを力づけた。
7 クロス王は、ネブカデネザルがエルサレムから持って来て、自分の神々の宮に置いていた主の宮の用具を運び出した。
8 すなわち、ペルシヤの王クロスは宝庫係ミテレダテに命じてこれを取り出し、その数を調べさせ、それをユダの君主シェシュバツァルに渡した。
9 その数は次のとおりであった。金の皿三十、銀の皿一千、香炉二十九、
10 金の鉢三十、二級品の銀の鉢四百十、その他の用具一千。
11 金、銀の用具は全部で五千四百あった。捕囚の民がバビロンからエルサレムに連れて来られたとき、シェシュバツァルはこれらの物をみないっしょに携えて上った。

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be accomplished, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and put it also in writing, saying:
2 'Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth hath the LORD, the God of heaven, given me; and He hath charged me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
3 Whosoever there is among you of all His people--his God be with him--let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD, the God of Israel, He is the God who is in Jerusalem.
4 And whosoever is left, in any place where he sojourneth, let the men of his place help him with silver, and with gold, and with goods, and with beasts, beside the freewill-offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'
5 Then rose up the heads of fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, even all whose spirit God had stirred to go up to build the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem.
6 And all they that were round about them strengthened their hands with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, and with beasts, and with precious things, beside all that was willingly offered.
7 Also Cyrus the king brought forth the vessels of the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had brought forth out of Jerusalem, and had put them in the house of his gods;
8 even those did Cyrus king of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and numbered them unto Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.
9 And this is the number of them: thirty basins of gold, a thousand basins of silver, nine and twenty knives; 
10 thirty bowls of gold,silver bowls of a second sort four hundred and ten, and other vessels a thousand.
11 All the vessels of gold and of silver were five thousand and four hundred. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when they of the captivity were brought up from Babylon unto Jerusalem.
