The main material of chip beads is ferrite (a kind of ferromagnetic data of cubic lattice structure). Ferrite is based on ferro-magnesium alloy or ferro-nickel alloy. Its manufacturing process and mechanical function are similar to ceramics, gray-black. Ferrite data is a kind of core commonly used in electromagnetic disturbance filters. It is characterized by high frequency loss and high permeability, which can minimize the capacitance between coil windings of inductors at high frequency and high resistance. Ferrite data are usually used in high frequency situations. Because of their secondary inductance characteristics at low frequencies, the loss is very small. At high frequencies, they mainly exhibit reactance characteristics and change with frequency. In practice, ferrite is used as a high frequency attenuator of radio frequency circuit. Ferrite can be better equivalent to resistance and inductance parallel connection. Resistance is short-circuited by inductance at low frequency, and inductance impedance becomes quite high at high frequency, so that all current passes through resistance. The resistance characteristic of ferrite is determined by a consuming installation, where high frequency energy is converted into heat energy below. There are many specifications for patch beads, and the manufacturer will provide technical objectives, especially the impedance-frequency curve of the beads.
Some magnetic beads have many holes, and the conductor passes through the additive element impedance. However, the noise suppression added at high frequency can not be as much as expected. The method of connecting several magnetic beads in series can be adopted.
The energy of high frequency noise is transferred to heat energy by coupling the ferrite magnetic moment with the lattice. It does not lead the noise to heaven or obstruct it back. Therefore, when the ferrite magnetic beads are installed in the circuit, it is not necessary to set a grounding point for them.
