From BoA's "NEGA DOLA"

From BoA's "NEGA DOLA"
BoAの「NEGA DOLA」から

US Billboard praises BoA as "Korea's best performer"

Compliments from experts are more or less due to the power of advertising (money).

I often quote (use) these, but I don't take them at face value.

I watched BoA's "NEGA DOLA" stage.

A long time ago, when I saw BoA's dance stage, I thought about forming a girl group.

I wrote about this in my blog, but seeing her comeback stage this time strengthened my feelings.

If you want to show a stage with strengthened dance, you should do it with a girl group.

I feel that Yujung of the girl group "Weki Meki" and others have something in common (charm) with BoA.

Like BoA, the petite Yujung shows a unique presence with her sharp dance and rapping, and shows an agile performance.

BoA, who performs intense dance stages accompanied by backup dancers, sometimes loses her luster.

She has a strong presence, but her highly skilled and intense dancing doesn't feel very intense.

To be frank, she seems too small and lacks the weight to carry the backing dancers.

On a first-class stage, the main dancer can't look first-class just because of the ability of the backup dancers. If the main dancer isn't also first-class, you can't put on a first-class stage.

The main position is that tough.

You can get away with that worry by keeping up with the close-ups, but the appeal of group stages is reduced if they aren't a group performance.

Frankly speaking, I don't get the impression that BoA is currently a likely seller.

I don't see the same thing in BoA as Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.

However, if she can show off the power and skill of Yoojung on a stage with just a few people, BoA is still worth more than she deserves.

I think she can do well at the front line.

I'm sure she had a lot of backup dancers to make it look more glamorous, but I thought a dance stage by BoA alone was far better.

Furthermore, BoA was far better when she came to Japan and sang while dancing alone (she was good at it).

How should we make of BoA, who has now shed the pop idol image of those days and moved on to full-fledged hip-hop music...?

To keep up with the increasing number of singers with long limbs these days, it seems she will need to use her small stature to her advantage in speedy dancing and performances.

She will have to figure this out to stay at the top of her game.

Being praised in an article and getting fans to take action are two entirely different things.

It just goes to show how hard it is for a singer who was successful in the past to make a comeback.

Now that high skill is in demand, what will be the reaction of fans...it will be interesting to see how the number of views of her official MV progresses.

A clear answer will surely emerge from that.
