モーグ･スキッフル･セラー (Morgue Skiffle Celler) は大きなヴィクトリア朝風の家の地下室に構えられた違法クラブで、リヴァプールのブロードグリーン (Broadgreen) 地区オークヒル･パーク (Oakhill Park) 25番地にあった。 モーグは18歳のアラン･コールドウェル (Alan Caldwell) が経営し、彼はアル･コールドウェルズ･テキサンズ (Al Caldwell's Texans) というバンドの歌手だった。リンゴ･スター (Ringo Starr) は
1959(昭和34)年03月25日(水)からこのグループに加わった。後にバンド名をロリー･ストーム･アンド･ザ･ハリケーンズ (Rory Storm and the Hurricanes) に変更している。 テキサンズとクオリーメンは他の多くの地元グループとともに、このクラブの開店の夜に演奏した。演奏は7:30pmに始まり、100人の客は限られた空間に詰め込まれたが、そこにはトイレも無かった。照明は1個の裸電球と蛍光のストリップライトだけだった。 モーグは
1958(昭和33)年04月01日(火)に警察により閉鎖される。こっそり続けようとがんばったが、
1958(昭和33)年04月22日(火)に一巻の終わりとなる。 ライヴ演奏は火曜日と木曜日に開催された。クオリーメンは短命だったモーグの他の営業日にも演奏していたかもしれないが、それについて信頼のおける情報は見つかっていない。

この夜ビートルズは、リヴァプールのテンプル通り (Temple Street) 13番にあるストーリーヴィル･ジャズ･クラブ (Storyville Jazz Club) に初めて出演した。この会場の前身はアイアン･ドア･クラブ (Iron Door Club) と呼ばれ、それは
1960(昭和35)年04月09日(土)にオープンしていた。さらにその前はバターを包装する工場だった。当時シルバー･ビートルズ (The Silver Beetles) の彼らは、1960年5月15日にここで演奏している。
1961(昭和36)年にリヴァプール･ジャズ･ソサイエティ (Liverpool Jazz Sciety) と名前を替え、そこでサム･リーチ (Sam Leach) が主催するイベントに、ビートルズは5回出演している。さらに1962(昭和37)年にストーリーヴィル･ジャズ･クラブ (Storyville Jazz Club) と再度改名し、ビートルズはそこで3回演奏している。

ジョン･レノンは重篤な風邪を患って、前夜のステージを欠場し、この日の夜のショーも欠場することになるのだが、ニューシングル♪From Me To You♪のB面となる♪Thank You Girl♪にハーモニカをオーバー･ダブするため、ロンドンのアビーロード･スタジオにやって来た。このセッションは10:00am～1:00pmに行われ、ジョンはハーモニカのパートを15テイク録っている。これらはテイク14～28とナンバリングされた。その後ジョージ･マーティン (George Martin) は、テイク6・13・17・20・21・23 を複雑に編集合成して、モノラルとステレオのミキシングを作り上げている。このレコーディング･セッションにはジョン･レノンだけが参加しているのだが、残りのメンバーも前夜のベッドフォードでの公演を終えた後、ロンドンにやって来ている。

トミー･ロウ (Tommy Roe) とクリス･モンテス (Chris Montez) を看板スターとするビートルズのUKツアーは、この日はヨーク (York) のリアルト･シアター (Rialto Theatre) にやって来た。しかし前日のベッドフォード公演と同様、ジョン･レノンは重い風邪でステージに立つことができず、彼を除いた3人での演奏となった。このツアーでのビートルズの演奏曲目は次の通り。

1960(昭和35)年03月13日(日) スチュワート・サトクリフがベースとして加入したものの、ドラマーが不在ということもあり、春ごろまで目立った活動はない。バンド名を「クオリーメン（The Quarrymen）」から、スチュの発案で「ビータルズ（The Beatals）」に改名した。
1963(昭和38)年03月13日(水) ロンドンのＥＭＩスタジオで午前10時から午後1時まで「Thank You Girl」のハーモニカのオーバーダビングとモノラルおよびステレオのミキシングを行う。夜は、この年2回目の全国ツアーのステージ。アメリカ人シンガーのトミー・ロウとクリス・モンテスとのパッケージ・ツアーの4日目がヨークのリアルト・シアターで行われる。前座のはずだったビートルズは人気が急上昇していたこともあって、初日からメインの座を奪う。この日は前日にひどい風邪を引いたジョンがまたもステージを休み、3人のビートルズであった。セット・リスト「Love Me Do」「Misery」「A Taste Of Honey」「Do You Want To Know A Secret」「Please Please Me」「I Saw Her Standing There」

On March 13th 1969, Nick Logan visited Chobham Common in Surrey on-location during the filming of 'The Magic Christian.' This most recent comedy vehicle for Peter Sellers also co-starred the drummer for the Beatles. Logan's interview with Ringo Starr would be originally published in the March 29th(sat) issue of New Musical Express, and later reprinted in the October 1969 issue of Hit Parader magazine.『The Magic Christian』is an inspired, wacky sixties film that most people either really love or hate, based on the novel by Terry Southern. Appearing with Sellers and Starr in the film are Pythons John Cleese and Graham Chapman, Goon Show alumnus Spike Milligan, Christopher Lee, Racquel Welch, Roman Polanski, and Yul Brenner as a lounge-singing transvestite. Paul McCartney wrote the film's theme song 'Come And Get It' performed by Badfinger. In this interview on the film set, conducted between takes of the 'grouse shooting' scene, Nick Logan asks Ringo about his public and private life, negative press coverage, his reactions to the controversial actions of his fellow Beatles, and the recent marriage of Paul and Linda McCartney, who had tied the knot just one day earlier on March 12th(wed).

This famous and fabulous color photo was taken at Paul's Auntie Gin's son Ian's wedding reception. This photo was shot in a back room parlor. This is likely George's first public appearance with John and Paul. It is the earliest known color photo of the three of them. There would not be another color photo for over four years. Albiet, a color film was shot in February 1962. Paul states that he met John and George around the same time (mid 1957) but George first saw The Quarry Men on
6 February 1958 during a Quarry Men performance at Wilson Hall in Garston. Based on Colin Hanton's recollection, it seems likely that he might not have met John until

Quarry Men performance at The Morgue Skiffle Cellar in Liverpool. Interestingly, The Morgue Cellar was owned by Alan Caldwell who would become Liverpool's "Mr. Showmanship" (Rory Storm). Ringo would join Caldwell's band, The Raving Texans (the future "Hurricanes"), and make his first appearance with them on 25 March 1959 at The Mardi Gras in Mount Pleasant.

This unusual multi-exposure image is taken sometime between mid January 1961 to mid March 1961. The room appears to be the same as the photo of Rory Storm and The Hurricanes seen here.
I'm inclined to think this is the Liverpool Jazz Society in March 1961.
The Beatles played this venue on 6, 11, 13, 15, 17 March (Rory Storm appeared on the bill on the 15th).
This would be one of the final Liverpool appearances with Stu.

‡13 March 1973 Sunset Sound Recorders, Los Angeles, Lennon was invited by Ringo Starr to go to Sunset Sound Recorders in Los Angeles to help contribute to Ringo, his third studio album. Starr had sent requests to each of the former Beatles for new material, and Lennon revived I'm The Greatest. He rewrote several of the lines to make them relevant to Starr, and helped arranged the recording. eorge Harrison was also in Los Angeles, and had arranged a meeting with Lennon to discuss the 1962-1966 and 1967-1970 Beatles compilations. Lennon invited him into the studio, making perhaps the closest there ever came to a Beatles reunion. rom behind the piano Lennon led a version with Starr on drums, Harrison on electric guitar and Voormann on bass. They recorded 12 takes, four of which were complete, with Lennon singing guide vocals. One of these studio outtakes was released in slightly edited form in the John Lennon Anthology collection.

【ウィーン、リバプール2014年3月13日PRN＝共同JBN】ビートルズの曲をカバーするとき、最大の問題は忠実に再現するかどうかである。忠実に再現すれば、オリジナルにはとてもかなわなくなる。離れすぎると傑作を改ざんする恐れがある。ビートルズなど60年代ミュージシャンの影響を色濃く受けている19歳のモナリザ・ツインズはこの課題に挑み、思いのほか優れた結果をもたらした。2人のカバーはYouTubeの「ソングタイトル・カバー」さらに「ビートルズ・カバー」の用語検索で上位にランクされ、中でも♪While My Guitar Gently Weeps♪は多くの国でナンバーワンになっている。新アルバムのほかの数曲もビデオトップ20に入っている。これは2人がいま出せる最高のスタジオ録音カバーアルバムではないかもしれない。しかし「MonaLisa Twins play Beatles ＆ more」は、双子が4年間行ったライブ・スタジオ録音からファンのリクエストで選ばれたコンピレーションになっている。2012年のデビューアルバム「When We’re Together」は有名な音楽ブログ・雑誌で好評を博したが、それ以来2人は数多くのライブ公演やミュージックビデオ撮影をこなし、ユーチューブで250万回近い閲覧を記録、YouTubeとFacebookの会員数千人を集めている。世界各国のラジオ局が彼女らの曲を流している。2人は新CD発表のこの時期にアイルランド／英国デュオツアーを展開、その後はバンドも加えた大型ツアーを計画している。
