Nagahama Castle ( 長浜城）in Nagahama City,Gifu Prefecture,Japan./Place: Nagahama Castle is located to the north of JR Nagahama Station.After the defeat of Asai Nagamasa in 1573, Hashiba Hideyoshiassumed control of the Kohoku Area. After Hideyoshi distinguished himeself in battle at Anegawa and Odani Castle his residence,In the summer of the following year(1574). He started building a castle in Imahama,whis is around present-day Koen-Cho in Nagahama City. He was thought to have chosen the location transportation on Lake Biwa.Because few document or drawings related to the construction of the castle remain,many details Chikubu Island.
