Anglian Home Improvementsという会社の監査報告書に記載した内容が紹介されています。Brexitは、英国にとって、最も重要な経済的事象のひとつであると記載しているそうです。
In its report on Anglian Home Improvements, KPMG stated that Brexit is “one of the most significant economic events for the UK”.
会社の将来の見通しや業績を評価する際の不確実性に対応するため、我々（KPMG）は事務所全体で標準化されたアプローチを適用している、知ることのできない要因や、会社へのすべての起こりうる影響を予測することは、どのような監査であっても期待すべきではなく、 Brexitに関しては、特にそのことが当てはまると述べているとのことです。
It added, “We applied a standardised firm-wide approach in response to that uncertainty when assessing the company’s future prospects and performance.
“No audit should be expected to predict the unknowable factors or all possible future implications for a company and this is particularly the case in relation to Brexit.”
Brexitでは何が起こるかわからない、何かあった場合に、監査人に責任を取れなどといわないでくれという趣旨なのでしょう。
