It's really noisy in here. I can't hear you. Today I want to talk about the difference between loud and noisy. Now, they're both adjectives. We use them both to talk about sound, but there are differences in how we use them. If something is loud, it means that it produces a high volume or intensity of sound. Here are a few examples. The music was so loud, I had to cover my ears. The TV is too loud. Can you turn it down? if something is noisy, it means there's a lot of sound that is disruptive, distracting, or just unpleasant. For example, the street outside my apartment is always noisy with traffic. The classroom next door was really noisy and it was hard to concentrate. So there you go. It basically means to stop working or to stop functioning completely. For example: • My computer shut down unexpectedly while I was working on my project. Here my computer just stopped working. • The factory shut down because the company went bankrupt.
