1．イベント報告(2019年10月)
【10月27日JCU千葉セミナー「激動の中に日本の未来を拓く」開催！】
10月27日（日）千葉県佐倉市にて、「激動の中に日本の未来を拓く」と題して、あえば議長による講演会を開催致しました。
今回は初の試みとして、講演の前にプレイベントを開催し、JCUの活動報告やJ-CPACの紹介を行い参加者の理解がより深まるように工夫致しました。
当日は70名を超える方にお越しいただき、深田匠氏からはアメリカに存在する共和党と民主党という2つのアメリカとどのように付き合うべきなのか、その中で日本のカウンターパートと共有すべき価値観は何かについてお話いただき好評を博しました。
また、メインとなる講演会ではあえば議長から、本年のJ-CPACや香港での活動、韓国保守派との連携を通じて我が国の安全保障環境をいかに守るか、それを踏まえてアメリカとどのように連携していくかについて解説を行い大変な反響をいただきました。
当日は、書籍『TRUMP’S AMRICA-その「偉大なる復活」の真相-（産経広告社、ニュート・ギングリッジ著、あえば直道監修）』もご購入いただき、多数の方からJCUネットワークパートナーへの入会もいただくことができました。

【JCU特別公開セミナー「沖縄から日本を知る」：沖縄で開催決定！（11月24日）】
11月24日（日）に、「沖縄から日本を知る」と題してJCU特別公開セミナーを沖縄にて開催致します。当日はあえば議長に加えて、元靖国神社禰宜・広報課長で神道政治連盟沖縄県本部幹事長を務める大山晋吾氏をお招きし、沖縄の秘められた歴史から日本の歴史を紐解きます。あえば議長の、アジア太平洋からの視点での沖縄論と合わせて目が離せません。

12月1日（日）に、「アジアの危機と日本の未来」と題してJCU特別公開セミナーを高知にて開催致します。当日はあえば議長に加えて、国際政治学者で『日本人が知らない「二つのアメリカ」の世界戦略（高木書房）』の著者でもある深田匠氏をお招きし、アメリカ政治の知られざる内幕やアメリカの保守と日本がどのように連携していけるかなど具体的な提言や分析を学びます。アメリカ大統領選挙を来年に控え、あえば議長の情勢報告も目が離せません！

『新独立自尊 第30回 香港を沈黙させないために（JCU議長・あえば議長）』
10月1日、北京では中華人民共和国の建国70周年を記念する式典が大々的に催された。新型とみられる大陸間弾道弾や無人機などが続々とパレードする様子は日本のメディアでも大きく報じられた。式典において習近平は、「どのような勢力も偉大な祖国の地位を揺るがすことはできない」と、中国共産党の正統性を改めて内外にアピールした。国際社会が懸念する問題については、香港について「今後も一国二制度を堅持し、香港の長期的な繁栄と安定を維持する」、台湾について「両岸関係の平和的発展を進めていくが、祖国の完全統一を実現するための奮闘を続ける」と、硬軟取り混ぜた発言を行った。
ここで注目したいのは、共産党体制に異を唱えてきたウイグルやチベットといった少数民族についてである。監視体制の強化が進むウイグル自治区やチベット自治区については、国際社会からの批判を交わすため、一部のウイグル族やチベット族が祝賀パレードに参加した。ウイグルについては、最近も欧米各国が人権状況についての懸念を中国に伝えているが、チベットについては近年大きな抵抗の声を耳にすることはなくなってきた。それだけ、最新技術を駆使した北京の監視が進んでいるということだ。ウイグルもそのように「沈黙」させるべく、北京政府はウイグル独立派勢力とイスラム過激派とを関連づけることで、ウイグル自治区で人権を無視した監視を強化している。周知のとおり、100万人以上のウイグル人が、実質的な強制収容所での生活を余儀なくされており、現地での抵抗の声を国際社会に届けさせないほど、北京の監視体制が構築されつつある。これは、非常に憂慮すべき事態である。そして、これから香港で待ち受けているのは、この「続編」かもしれない。すなわち、今後、香港が監視社会にされてしまうということだ。
10月になり、香港政府は「行政会議」の臨時会合を開き、「緊急状況規制条例」を発動、デモ参加者のマスク着用を禁止する「覆面禁止法」を緊急立法で制定すると決めた。既に、覆面禁止法に反発する市民による抵抗も各地で見られ、市民が続々と逮捕されている。
また、香港警察が実弾を発砲するケースが目立つ。警官が高校生に向けて真正面から発砲し、一時高校生が意識不明となる事態となったのは、西側メディアも大きく取り上げた。1989年の天安門事件と何ら変わらない、民主化を求める青年への暴力行為である。しかも、香港警察による市民への暴力は止まりそうにない。現在の香港情勢は長期化する模様を見せており、天安門事件を凌ぐ悲惨な事態に発展する恐れもある。
現在、香港で起こっていることは共産党と民主主義の戦いである。同時に、東アジアにおける自由・民主主義の戦いでもある。ここで香港が折れるようなことがあると、習近平政権はさらに勢いをつけ、台湾と対峙することになる。日本も共産党政権の覇権をこれ以上進めさせないために、米国やオーストラリア、台湾とともにあらゆる協力を進めていかなければならない。

1. October 2019 Event Report
【JCU seminar: “Pioneering the Future of Japan in Chaos” on October 27.】
Jay Aeba, the Chairman of the JCU spoke at a seminar in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture on the theme “Pioneering the Future of Japan in Chaos.”
This time we held a pre-event for the first time in JCU history, with aims to prepare the audience to better understand the seminar by reporting on JCU activities and introducing J-CPAC events.
We had over 70 people come to the event. We received a lot of positive feedback toward our guest speaker, Mr. Takumi Fukada, who expounded on how America is divided by two parties – Republicans and Democrats, and how and what values Japan should share with them.
As for the main section of the seminar, Jay Aeba spoke about J-CPAC2019, movements in Hong Kong, and how to protect our country’s security apparatus through the alliance with Korean conservatives, which was a huge hit.
Many purchased copies of “Trump’s America: The Truth About Our Nation’s Great Comeback” and signed up for a JCU Network Partner membership on the day of the event.

Monthly Hanada December 2019 issued on Friday 25 October 2019 posted Jay Aeba’s report on his Hong Kong visit.
