夏季休暇に阪神間から日帰りで白川郷までのドライブに挑戦しました。
朝から天候は思わしくなくて砺波平野は雨模様だったのに五箇山へ向かうトンネルを越える度に
空模様は変わり、白川郷のインターチェンジを出る頃は暑い真夏の陽射しになっっていました。
残念なことに今まで訪れる機会もなく、今回が始めての世界遺産訪問となりました。
城山から見下ろす合掌造り集落は最高の景色でした。

This old house passes after a building in position about 400.
The roof of the house converts it newly once in 30-50 years.

Such a beautiful old town. I wonder how old the town is. In is fantastic to look at the old houses with their high rising roofs. They must be from a time when a lot of snow was falling in the valley. Once again I was reminded how wonderful and interesting Japanese culture is.
