The "Three Non-Nuclear Principles" Cannot Protect the Nation.
Mr. Takashi Arimoto insists as follows.
Nuclear intimidation must not be tolerated.
It is the role of a leader to create a readiness to defend the country even if threats are made, but unfortunately, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida does not seem to have the spirit to do so.
At a press conference on March 3, Prime Minister Kishida was asked whether he could protect the lives of the Japanese people by adhering to the three non-nuclear principles (not possessing, not producing, and not allowing the introduction of nuclear weapons).
Prime Minister Kishida replied by stressing, "Japan's security has been protected by its own defense capability and the deterrence of the Japan-U.S. alliance. I believe that the lives and livelihoods of the people can be protected under the current circumstances."
I would like to ask Prime Minister Kishida.
Europe is threatened by Russia's nuclear weapons, while Japan is surrounded by nuclear powers China and North Korea in addition to Russia.
All of them are despotic nations, and how will Japan respond when they threaten to use nuclear weapons as in the case of President Vladimir Putin against Ukraine?
Simply saying "I believe" is not persuasive enough.
