When I was young, when I started learning Urasenke's tea, I was nervous and I put a bowl on my palm and turned it by hand to drink, and I tried to put the bowl on the tatami mat and drink it.

裏千家を花嫁修業で学び始めた時、裏千家の静かな世界に緊張して、

手の上で茶碗を乗せて回して飲むところを、畳の上で回して飲んでしまいました。

茶道の茶碗は茶碗という呼び名でいいようですね。
