コロナ禍で音楽業界がダメージを負っているというのは周知のとおり。
世界中で移動が著しく制限され、大規模な集会がままならないため興業(ライヴ)が思うようにできず、
アーティストだけではなく彼らを支えている裏方のcrewの皆さんが危機的状況にあります。
仕事がなく生活ができなければこの業界から去らざるを得なくなる..
もし彼らcrewを失うことになれば、その素晴らしい技術をも失いかねず、
音楽業界はさらに衰退してしまうやもしれません。
そのためにどうか力を貸してください、というイベントのようです。
DIVOのcrewといえばディレクター、ツアーマネージャーから音響、照明、美術、衣裳...
楽団もだし、カメラマン、振付師、それにブッキングやマーチを担う方々もいるし...etc. etc..
DIVOが来ないと、会場は空き、配車の予定もケータリングのオーダーもなく、
チケットもぎりは暇になり、警備のバイトもなくなる...

Who you are helping
We Need Crew:
The UK’s touring crew are at breaking point. The highly skilled team members that quickly become family on the road are in danger of facing the journey to nowhere with no financial support from the government. They are the backbone to the live touring industry and without them, there may be no tours to return to.
Our mission is simple, we want to raise funds for We Make Event's chosen charity Backup so any of our touring family who are facing difficulty can reach out for help. Our mission statement is: ‘By touring crew, for touring crew, supported by artists’.
100% of the funds raised go solely to the Backup TECH hardship fund (charity number: 1159168)
Crew Nation:
Live music inspires millions around the world, but the concerts we all enjoy wouldn’t be possible without the countless crew members working behind the scenes. Crew Nation is charitable fund, created to help the people who were supposed to be working on shows planned for 2020. Crew Nation is powered by Music Forward Foundation, a charitable 501c3 organization, that is administering and managing the fund.
So far, the fund has raises $15 million, helping 15,000 live music crew members across 36 countries who were impacted by the rescheduled or cancelled shows scheduled to take place through June.
With concerts and festivals still largely on pause, there are hundreds of thousands of crew members who still need help. The fund hopes to double its impact and raise at least $30 million so that it can continue providing support for these independent workers who are the backbone of the live music industry.
DIVOの場合は、UKのWe Need Crewという団体とUSのCrew Nationという団体の支援に繋がるようですね。
そもそもは政府がサポートすべきであるのに手が回らず、多くの人が取り残されているのが実情。待っていても埒があかないのですよね。
音楽業界を支えるのはdivaとしても最大の使命。(ちょっと半沢入ってますw)
DIVOを支えるcrewがいなければ、今までのようにDIVO達に会うことは叶わなくなるでしょう。
とはいえ、あくまでも私たちdivasには“音楽ありき”が大前提。
DIVO達をもちろん愛してはいるけれど、少なくともえあさんは音楽ありきですからね。
