DIA releases invitations, small-scale concert with less than 100 seats

Girl group DIA has released a postcard inviting fans to participate in a small-scale concert, attracting attention.

According to their agency, applications will be accepted only from paid fan club members through their official fan cafe from 3:00 pm on the 1st to 11:59 pm on the 2nd.

Winners will be announced at 7:00 pm on the 3rd.

The event, which started with the desire to add live performances and let fans hear it first, will be held as a small-scale concert with 50 to 100 seats.

This time, an acoustic band will be used to create the highlight of the stage, and they will explain their work so far.

(From K-POP News)

I know that DIA came to Japan in mid-March to do events.

I watched a video of them performing on stage at a certain place in Odaiba that was uploaded to YouTube.

It was a light music style live performance with keyboards, guitar, djembe, glockenspiel, melodica, and ukulele.

Singers Heehyun and Yebin were standing on the outdoor stage, seated.

From the right, there was Chaeyeon on glockenspiel, followed by Eunchae on ukulele, Jenny on melodica, someone (a new member?) on keyboards, Heehyun on vocals, Eunjin on djembe, Eunice on guitar (her guitar playing is well known), Yebin on vocals and another person (a new member?).

With this arrangement, they performed three songs, including their debut song "Do It Amazing."

When Eunchae was free to play her instrument, she came forward and sang with the vocalists.

Chaeyeon occasionally took a camera and walked around taking pictures of the members.

Popular groups such as TWICE have confirmed their Japanese debut.

There is a growing momentum for other girl groups to aim for Japan as well.

It seems that DIA has followed in their footsteps.

As for Japanese, which is important for activities in Japan, Eunice, who played the guitar, seemed to be able to speak it fairly well.

Perhaps because they arrived in Japan early, none of the other members could speak Japanese.

As they were walking, fans called out to them and they responded in broken Japanese.

If they are to debut in Japan, I hope that at least two other members besides Eunice can speak Japanese.

If Chaeyoung, who is popular in Japan, can speak Japanese, she will be able to attract many fans to the release event.

While performing on a modest stage, the members must have been hoping to perform it soon in a place where more fans could gather.

Chaeyoung and Eunice were the ones who were most often called out to by fans.
