As a result of analyzing the big data of Korean girl group brand reputation in December 2018, 1st place was "TWICE", 2nd place was "BLACKPINK", and 3rd place was "IZ*ONE".

In order to analyze the big data of individual brand reputation of girl groups, the Korea Corporate Expression Research Institute measured the brand big data of girl groups from November 6th to December 7th, 2018. The participation index, media index, communication index, community index, and brand reputation index for girl group brands were analyzed.

The top 30 girl group brand reputations for December were: TWICE, BLACKPINK, IZ*ONE, Girls' Generation, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, LOVELYZ, EXID, MOMOLAND, WJSN, fromis_9, Apink, LABOUM, Weki Meki, APRIL, AOA, (G)I-DLE, DreamNote, GWSN, GFRIEND, OH MY GIRL, T-ARA, icia, Girl's Day, gugudan, Girl of the Month, FIESTAR, DREAMCATCHER, AFTERSCHOOL, and CLC.

Director Goo Chang-hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute said, "In the analysis of the December girl group individual brand reputation, TWICE ranked first." He added, "In the link analysis, TWICE's brand had high scores for 'cute, sweeping, challenging', and in the keyword analysis, 'TWICE LAND, YES or YES, Tzuyu' were high. In the positive/negative ratio analysis, the positive ratio was 76.23%." (From K-POP News) This year is already in December. K-POP is also holding large-scale music festival events to wrap up the year. This year, K-POP girls were once again remarkable for their worldwide activities from east to west. TWICE in particular has been active worldwide, traveling frequently between Japan and Korea, and has been active not only in Asia, but also in Europe, the United States, and South America. Naturally, these activities have been reflected in their performance. In particular, their achievements in Japan are as follows, and they are breaking records for K-POP girls one after another. He should be highly praised not for the success he received from the boom, but for the results he achieved while leading the boom he created himself.

★, TWICE's first full album in Japan "BDZ" ranked first in the "Top 10 K-POP Artist Released Albums" on Tower Records' annual chart "2018 Best Sellers".

★, TWICE's first full album in Japan "BDZ" ranked first in the "Top 10 K-POP Artist Released Singles".

★, TWICE's third single "Wake Me Up" ranked first in the "Top 10 K-POP Artist Released Singles", and their second single "Candy Pop" ranked second.

★, Their th mini album "What is Love?", second special album "Summer Nights", and sixth mini album "YES or YES" ranked second, fourth, and sixth, respectively, in the "Top 10 K-POP Import Albums".

★, Their first full album in Japan "BDZ", released in September, ranked first in the Oricon Daily Album Ranking for the seventh consecutive time, reached the top of the weekly ranking and the Oricon Monthly Album Ranking for the first time since entering Japan, and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.

★, their third single "Wake Me Up" released in May (awarded the "Excellent Work Award" at the 60th Japan Record Awards this year), was the first single by a foreign female artist to be certified double platinum, and "Candy Pop" released in February was also certified platinum.

★, They will be the first K-pop girl group to appear for the second consecutive year on the 69th "Kohaku Uta Gassen" program, a year-end special program by NHK, which represents Japan, held on New Year's Eve.

They have decided to hold a dome tour with four performances in three cities in Japan, including the Osaka Kyocera Dome on March 21st next year, the Tokyo Dome on March 29th and 30th, and the Nagoya Dome on April 6th (the first K-pop girl group to perform at the Tokyo Dome in the shortest time since their debut as a foreign artist).

What we want to pay attention to is what kind of comeback they will make after April next year, and what kind of schedule they will have for their activities.

I hope TWICE will also perform on a large scale like BTS. However, with their popularity in Japan being this strong, it's possible that most of their dates will be filled by travelling back and forth between Japan and Korea, as they have done this year.

K-pop girl groups may also start to split into two groups: world tour-oriented groups like BLACKPINK and (G)I-DLE, and groups that focus on travelling back and forth between Japan and Korea, like TWICE and Red Velvet. It seems much easier to make a profit from travelling back and forth between Japan and Korea, but there are also many girl groups that are plotting to conquer the Japanese market, such as IZ*ONE, GFRIEND, MOMOLAND, EXID, OH MY GIRL, and MAMAMOO.

It's possible that TWICE will be swamped with activities to defend their stronghold in Japan. In that case, IZ*ONE will likely become TWICE's biggest rival.
