Everglow's "FIRST" wins first award - 6/1 "The Show"

★ "EverGlow" wins their first music show award with "First"!

On the June 1st broadcast of SBS MTV's "The Show", EverGlow, Son Ha-ye, and fromis_9 were nominated for first place.

The winner is... EverGlow!

After winning their first comeback award, EverGlow expressed their gratitude to their agency and said with tears, "We were able to get first place thanks to our fans."

The music video for their new song "FIRST" was released on May 25th.

A week has passed and the number of views is approaching 50 million.

I feel that their popularity is spreading considerably.
It seems that they have fans all over the world.

I have watched the "FIRST" music video many times. But I can't quite remember the members' faces.

Why is that?

Perhaps it's because their stage performance is unfriendly.

"EverGlow" is characterized by its girl crush appeal.

It's somewhat understandable that the video production leans towards expressing dynamic energy.

Perhaps because of this, it bothers me a little that I can't clearly remember the members.

I felt the same way about BlackPink when they first debuted.

But before I knew it, I had naturally memorized the names of all four members.

This is fine as they are popular, but now that they've been given the honor of appearing on a music show, I feel like they'd like to see a stage performance that makes it easier to remember each member.

If you look closely, each member has their own unique hairstyle, etc.

But perhaps because the performance emphasizes the intensity of their movements, I don't get to see their idol-like faces (smiles and looks).
If the number of views is reaching the fans, it seems a bit of a waste not to use this popularity in a secondary way.

Everglow seems like a girl group that would benefit from live streaming and making active use of the members' smiles.

BlackPink became popular on stage after their debut, and once the members' names started to become known, their popularity grew even more.

It's sad that Everglow hasn't seen that kind of popularity increase.

Even if they are a group that targets female fans, they should also make an effort to appeal to male fans.

You can see from the number of views for "First" MV that EverGlow! attracts many female fans.

However, I feel that they should also cultivate male fans who will flock to EverGlow's performances, even if there aren't many of them.

If they are successful in that area, it seems like EverGlow could create an enthusiastic female fandom.

EverGlow's performances always generate powerful excitement.
However, it seems that their popularity fades surprisingly quickly once their activities end.

It's a shame that they're so popular.
