Tohoshinki/Girls' Generation/KARA to Appear in "Kohaku Uta Gassen"

TVXQ, Girls' Generation, and KARA made Japan's year-end hot. On the 31st, TVXQ, Girls' Generation, and KARA appeared on NHK's "Kohaku Uta Gassen" and presented a wonderful stage.

The three teams boasted the majesty of K-POP with Japan's most popular singers such as Arashi, SMAP, and Masaharu Fukuyama. Tohoshinki, who appeared in "Kohaku Uta Gassen" for the third time this year, showed a performance that overwhelmed the stage with "Why".

KARA and Girls' Generation performed on 'Kohaku Uta Gassen' for the first time in Japan. KARA said, "I'm honored to be able to appear in 'Kohaku Uta Gassen', which has been my goal since I was young," and sang the 2011 hit medley. I want to do my best so that I can show you the performance," and performed hit songs such as "Genie".
(From Entertainment News)

I watched NHK's Kohaku Uta Gassen from beginning to end on TV. I watched it without changing the channel. It was announced that KARA, Girls' Generation, and Tohoshinki's K-Pop group would be released in the second half, so I didn't have to stick to putting them on the NHK channel as usual. However, I was also worried about whether the K-pop group would be able to safely land on the stage at the end of the year when Japan was hit hard by the earthquake.
"That's why I started watching it from the beginning."
Looking first at the results, I think the K-POP group landed on the red and white stage without feeling out of place.
It can be said that this was the result of NHK's meticulous attention to detail.
The young power of the national idol group AKB48 and Chibikko Morimori Combi gathered together, and in the first half, a stage with a strong message was created to see a bright outlook for Japan's future.
The stage had a meaningful excitement, but because the message was too strong, it tended to lack the power and enjoyment of a game to relax at the end of the year heading into the New Year. I was worried that some people would switch channels to other channels, but after the first part ended and the news came in, things changed completely.
Of course, I knew that KARA's "Special Medley" would be the first batter in Part 2. I knew it, but I didn't realize it meant so much.
In fact, after the news had taken a breather, the switch for the show had been flipped.
I had to wait for the appearance of "Girls' Generation" to realize this.

★ Girls' Generation→Kouhaku's singing and dancing videos have been uploaded to YouTube, and the number of views is increasing tremendously. They played a big stage on December 29th and 30th, and rushed to the stage of NHK on New Year's Eve. I would be lying if I said I wasn't tired. However, as far as I could see, their performance that night was a wonderful performance that didn't make you feel tired at all.
There were comments such as "dance is not sharp", "singing is bad", "performance deterioration", etc., but it was a small number and overwhelmingly "good".
I would also like to say a few words. That night, figure skater Akiko Suzuki (one of my favorite skaters) appeared as a red and white judge, and she voted for the red team (^_^). Anyway, I thought that Akiko Suzuki must have been impressed by her performance of "Girls' Generation", and understood how good it was. Stage dancing and figure skating probably have something in common. It also has a destiny to get tired of seeing if it does not continue to evolve. Girls' Generation is clearly evolving. If it's just the sharpness of the dance, you may be overwhelmed by the power and energy of "the world we met again" that they showed when they were 18 years old. But dance and figure skating are by no means just that. There are some things that cannot be obtained unless you continue to refine them over a long period of time. The red and white girls were exactly like that. The world that I could continue to refine and express was on the Kouhaku stage. That kind of thing is transmitted from any angle of the camera.

Girls' Generation appeared fifth.
The stage continued with a wonderful performance, and after "I'm addicted~♪", the spotlight turned to Tiffany.
She loudly proclaimed in a showmanship-filled cute voice.
"Red team, put it back on!"
It was a moment when the seriousness of the usual year-end Kouhaku Uta Gassen came back while encapsulating the message sent out in the first half.
I don't know if it was a word that the person invented or what it was, but I can only say that it was brilliant.
