Chinese version "CREAM" popular in China (EXID)
中国語バージョン『CREAM』中国で人気(EXID)
EXID's first full album track "CREAM" ranks 2nd on major Chinese music site, an "unprecedented record"
K-pop girls EXID have captured the hearts of Chinese fans.
EXID's agency said, "EXID's digital single "CREAM," released in China at midnight on the 20th, ranked 2nd on the popular charts of major music site QQ Music. It also ranked 5th on China's Yin Yue Tai V chart."
The newly released "CREAM" is from EXID's first full album "STREET," released in Korea in the first half of this year.
The song stands out for its sophisticated sound and sensual lyrics, and the members recently re-recorded it in Chinese.
The agency said, "It is unusual that a non-title track released in Korea was released in China and ranked so high within 10 hours of its release."
Meanwhile, girl group EXID attended the Strawberry Music Festival 2016 in Beijing this year as the first Korean girl group to represent the country, attracting attention from both Korea and abroad.
Their splendid performances of hit songs such as "UP&DOWN," "AH YEAH," "HOT PINK," and "L.I.E" and their girl crush concept have captivated the eyes and ears of Chinese fans.

EXID's music is simple and easy to understand, both in terms of singing and dancing. They have had this style since their debut, but it didn't work out at first.
Their concept is that of active women, and although the vocal line showed their singing ability, the members' sexiness seemed shallow.
Their power and image were unclear and it was hard to tell what they wanted to do.
They needed to get a clear direction and start over, but before that, it became difficult to keep the group together.
What was happening within the group?
It was about two months after their debut.
In the end, three of the six members (Yuji, Dami, and Hyeryeong) announced their withdrawal and left the group.
If you watch their debut music video, LE's rap doesn't really stick out, and the beautiful Hani and Jeonghwa don't stand out as much as they do now.
It seems that the members who left were the main focus (they re-debuted as a four-member group the following year).
LE, Hani, and Jeonghwa remained in the group.
Solji and Hyerin joined in place of the members who had left (main and lead vocalists), and EXID started again as a five-member group.
They released songs back to back, "I Feel Good" and "Every Night."
However, they ended their activities without achieving the results they had hoped for.
If you listen to these MVs, the style of the songs hasn't changed much since they debuted as a group of six.
The main vocalist has changed from Yuji to Solji, and the vocal line's singing voice is different. That's all.
After this, EXID went on hiatus.
In 2013, Hani and Solji had some unit activities, but EXID itself only participated in the OST for the drama "Money Incarnate" by singing "Up & Down".
They remained on hiatus until their comeback in August 2014.
"CREAM" is not a very distinctive song for EXID.
It's close to the music they made when they debuted.
It includes the performances of the girls who have been successful with their music since "Up & Down", so I thought it was pretty watchable and listenable.
I wonder how it would feel if there was a foreign language version?
I watched the Chinese version of the MV for "CREAM" on YouTube.
Surprisingly, it's music that stimulates pleasure.
I actually feel that the Chinese version is better than the Korean version.
If that's the case, it might be music that can be enjoyed in Japanese as well.
However, EXID's true talent lies in their comical flirtation.
By mixing simple singing and simple dancing with comical flirtation, they have carved out a unique musical world.
That's why LE's rap comes to life, and Solji and Hyerin's beautiful voices and Hani and Jeonghwa's visuals are fully displayed and shine.
Seeing them sing on stage with added arrangements, "CREAM" might be a song for EXID to relax on.
