英EYが、プラスチック製や紙製の使い捨てコップの使用をやめるという記事。今年秋から展開し、2018年末までに完了する予定とのことです。

KPMGやPwCでも、すでにそういう動きがあるそうです。

The Big Four firm has followed in the footsteps of KPMG and PwC, with the roll-out to start in Autumn and its completion scheduled for the end of 2018.

その他のプラスチック製食器と合わせて、年間7.7百万個超の使い捨てプラスチックの使用を減らすことが見込まれるそうです。

The move, along with its removal of plastic cutlery and other catering consumables, will cut the firm’s consumption of single-use plastic items by more than 7.7 million pieces per year, according to Caroline Artis, EY’s London senior partner and environmental lead.

そのうち、ビッグ4に加盟している日本の大手監査法人にも取り入れられ、ペットボトル飲料禁止（水筒持参）、プラスチック容器入りコンビニ弁当持ち込み禁止になるのでは。
