How to use GO IN - Phrasal Verb - English Vocabulary
Today we're looking at the phrasal verb “go in”.
Be aware of the context when using phrasal verbs because this could affect the definition, it could affect the meaning.
Today we're looking at the top two ways we use go in.
1) “go in” means to physically enter a room, a building, some kind of enclosed space. Here are a couple of examples to illustrate:
• I'm going to go in the store and get some groceries.
• He went in the house to grab his jacket.
• The cat always tries to go in the closet when it's open.
2) “go in” can mean to invest money or resources in some kind of project, in some kind of endeavor. Here are a couple of examples:
• I’m going to go in on this business venture with my friend.
• We all agreed to go in together and buy her a nice birthday present.
