A YouTube channel recently released a video titled "Top 15 Best Female Dancers in K-Pop."
Professional dancers rated idols who are main dancers in girl groups and solo artists on four dance-related aspects (technique, musicality, fluidity, and energy).
BoA, who has had a string of hits in Japan, ranked 10th, while Yeji of ITZY, TWICE's sister group, came in 9th.
Other idols who are often mentioned as good dancers also made the list, including Hyuna (8th), Girls' Generation's Hyoyeon (7th), TWICE's Momo (6th), CLC's Seungyeon (5th), Chungha (4th), and IZ*ONE's Chaeyoung (3rd).
Taking the top spot were Hyolyn, a former member of SISTAR, and Lisa of BLACKPINK. Amazingly, the two received perfect scores in all categories and were chosen as the "best female dancers in K-Pop."
In the video, one dancer said about Lisa, "She has perfect control over her body," and "She can make movements that look awkward to everyone else look amazing," so even from a professional's point of view, Lisa's dancing seems impressive.
Watching the video, I was surprised at the high evaluation of Hyolyn. I didn't expect her to be such a good dancer.
Maybe it's because I don't like the extreme sexiness that is similar to Hyuna...
However, Western dancers seem to give her high marks, just like Hyuna.
Since it was chosen by professional dancers, I felt that it was objective and fair.

My recommendation, Bomi (Apink), didn't even make it into the top 15.
It seems that being able to dance cutely is not enough.
