October 7, 2023 (Saturday) (postponed to October 8 (Sunday) in case of inclement weather) 6:00 p.m.
Number of shots: approx. 20,000 shots (scheduled)
Venue: Nukata Sports Ground and Arakawa riverside, 1073-1 Nukata, Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture
The "Konosu City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Young Men's Club," consisting of local shopkeepers and business owners as well as young people who will become business owners in the future, will volunteer to host this fireworks display in the hope of promoting local commerce and industry and giving dreams and hopes to children.
The event is not led by the government, but is a 100% handmade fireworks display that is unique in Japan, with about 40 members of the youth club handling everything from planning and operation to cleaning up after the event.
The event has now become a citizen-participatory fireworks display that attracts many volunteer staff members, including children and groups from all over the city.
It takes about 1 hour from Hotel Kuki to Konosu Station by train and 30 minutes on foot. It takes about 50 minutes by car. Please refer to the link below. Many people from outside of the prefecture come to see the festival. The highlight of the festival is the fireworks display of a four-foot-tall ball. The sound reaches as far as Hotel Kuki! Please come and enjoy the fireworks.
