Tokoji is a temple of the Obaku sect in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The mountain number is Gokokuyama. The principal image is Shakyamuni Buddha. It is a temple of the Obaku sect built in 1691 by Yoshinari Mori, the third feudal lord of the Hagi clan. At a young age, Yoshitsugu devoted himself to the Obaku sect and built a magnificent hall in search of an example at Motoyama Obakusan Mampukuji. We welcomed the high priest Egoku Domyo Zen Master from Hagi to the opening of the mountain. After the death of Yoshitsugu, this was used as a graveyard and became the family temple of Mori. It is also famous as a power spot for marriage and warding off evil.
