It is 50 years since Kumudini Lakhia started the Kadamb center for dance.
This milestone will be celebrated with a festival where a hundred kathak
dancers will perform during the three day event to be staged at the Tagore
Hall in Ahmedabad.
Pandit Birju Maharaj will be performing for the finale on the 13th December.
Other renowned dancers from the world over, all of whom have had the opp-
ortunity of studying at Kadamb with Kumiben will be performing on the 11th
and 12th December. It is a great moment of coming together of the past and
present Kadamb family.

言わずと知れたカタック舞踊の巨匠、Pt.ビルジュ・マハラジ氏は12/13フィナーレで踊られます。
クムディニ先生の生徒、カダムの生徒たちは12/11,12日に踊ります。
これは過去にカダムで踊る時間を共有したものたちが再び集まる素晴らしい瞬間となります。

Pt.Birju Maharaj
Padma Vibhushan Guru Birju Maharaj will perform at the Suvarna Parva of Kadamb
on 13th Dec at Tagore Hall Ahmedabad.
Guru Birju Maharaj has an association of over 60 years with Padma Bhushan
Kumudini Lakhia and they have performed together in a number of countries .[Delhi,India]

クムディニ先生とは60年以上もの間共にカタックの道を歩んで来られました。

50 years ago, Kumudini ji started to teach kathak in her husbands automobile s
howroom with 2 students, by shifting the furniture and tyres after office hours
in his store room . It has been a long journey and Kadamb now functions in its
own building since 33 years ! The strength of the students increases every year,
running into hundreds!
50年前、クムディニ先生は夫の営む車のショールームでたった二名の生徒を教える事から
始まりました。閉店後、家具やタイヤを移動してカタックを教えたのです。
長い旅を経て、今、カダムは33年現在の美しいバンガローをもち、
数えきれない程の生徒たちを育て、その数は未だ増え続けているのです。

Adithi Mangardas
As part of the Suverna parva the 50th year of Kadamb Aditi will perform on 11th Dec
at Tagore Hall, Ahmedabad . Aditi Mangaldas who started to learn kathak at the age
of 6 at Kadamb with Kumiben and grew up into a beautiful young dancer and toured
with the Kadamb group to Countries like USA, China , Pakistan, Russia etc. She moved
to Delhi and pursued her training with Pt. Birju Maharaj. Today Aditi and her Dance
Company Drishtikon is one of the most Renowned Indian Dance Companies World Wide.

アディティは６歳よりクミベンの元でカタックを学ばれ、若く美しいダンサーに育ち
世界各地をカダムのメンバーとして回りました。後にデリーへにてマハラジに師事。

Maulik and Ishira will perform on 11 Dec.
Ishira began their Kathak training at Kadamb with Kumudini Lakhia. Both grew into
beautiful and talented dancers and travelled with Kadamb performing unit to UK,
Russia, China, Germany, Sweden, Portugal etc. They found their calling at Kadamb
and more importantly they found "love" .
After marriage they started their own school "Anart" which is now well established
as a training and performing centre. [Ahmedabad,India]
イシラとモリックは11日に出演されます。カタックのトレーニングをカダムで受け、
成長すると共にカダムの世界ツアーにも参加してきました。彼らは恋に落ち、結婚後に
「アナート」という独自のスクールでカタックを教え公演を重ねている。

Prashant Shah will perform on the 11th of Dec as part of Kadamb's 50 years celebration. His continuous ongoing training, association and bonding with Kumiben for over three decades, has given his dance an identity combining grace and masculine power . As one of the leading members of Kadamb's performing unit, Prashant has performed extensively all over the world. His dynamic traditional solo performances for prestigious dance festivals all over India have not only earned him rave reviews but also the prestigious Ustad Bismallah Khan Yuva Puraskar in 2006 for Kathak
Now, dividing his time between New York and Ahmedabad, Prashant feels fortunate in spreading his Kathak training at Kadamb through his teachings to the new generation in the United States.

Sanjukta Sinha
Dance has been Sanjukta Sinha's dream ever since she was a child ... And In her words , she has been living that dream ever since she started getting trained under Guru Kumudini Lakhia. She feels proud and blessed to be a part of the Kadamb Centre for dance. Today, Sanjukta is a leading dancer of her generation , known for her technical expertise and artistry and has travelled all over the world with the Kadamb performing unit and also in her own right under the aegis Icecraft .
Sanjukta will perform on the 11th of December as part of the Suvarna Parva celebrations! (Ahmedabad, India)
踊る事は彼女の小さな頃からの夢でした。そしてクムディニ先生の指導のもと彼女はその夢を生き続けています。カダムの一員である事を幸福で誇りに感じます。今では彼女の世代で主要なダンサーとなり、テクニカルな技術と芸術性が認められ、カダムのメンバーとしてまた彼女自身のアイスクラフトというカンパニーで世界中で公演を重ねています。
