Do you know how to inspect the cylinder block of Hitachi excavator?

Inspection of cylinder block of Hitachi crawler excavator:

 

Remove water rust or other impurities on the surface of the cylinder block, remove the liquid sealant on the crankcase installation surface, and clean the cylinder block. Note: Do not damage the cylinder block.

 

1. Check for cracks

 

Perform color inspection and hydraulic (pneumatic) testing. If cracks or other damage are found, replace the cylinder block.

 

2. Cylinder block wear measurement

 

(1) Check whether the inner surface of the cylinder liner is cracked or damaged.

 

(2) When the cylinder sleeve is in the cylinder block, measure the inner diameter of the cylinder liner at the most severely worn part at a distance of 15-20 mm from the top of the cylinder liner. If the wear exceeds the limit, replace the cylinder liner. Note: Since there is only one specification for the inner diameter of the cylinder liner, there is no need to select the inner diameter grade of the cylinder liner.

 

3. Detection of warpage and deformation of the upper surface of the cylinder block

 

(1) Pull out the cylinder liner to remove the scale on the cylinder block.

 

(2) Use a ruler and a thickness gauge to measure the gap between the 4 sides and 2 diagonals on the upper surface of the cylinder block. Check the upper surface of the cylinder block. If the measured value exceeds the limit, replace the cylinder block.
