I have been feeling blue since yesterday.
... Again? Yes, it has come again!
From around ovulation occurs, my condition, both physical and pcycological, gets worse. It's so called PMS!
What is PMS? It stands for Premenstrual Syndrome, a group of symptoms related to the menstrual cycle. It depends on individual whether one presents severe symptoms or mild, or even none.
The typical physical symptoms are;
headaches, migraine, bloating, constipation or diarrhea, breast tenderness, drowsiness, fatigue, and gain weight because of food cravings.
And the typical emotional symptoms are;
irritability, anxiety, depression, and trouble concentrating or remembering.
PMS seems to have something to do with hormonal balance that changes in stages of life. Such as when your body turns mature in your puberty, and when you have menopause. And on top of everything, when you have menstrual periods. Do you know how those menstrual periods occur? It is all a set of hormones that play the role. They send signals by increasing themselves to let some organs know the time to ovulate or to get rid of uterine linings.
Regrettably, those who never experienced the symptoms hardly understand how it feels like. Let alone the creature called MALE!!
It makes me feel all alone when people say, "Don't be too worried! You are just imagining it!!" or something. They never understand my feelings. Surprisingly, even gynecologists are sometimes careless.
It was about 3 years ago, I was under extreme stress that worsened my PMS. I went to an office of some gynecologist's because menstrual cramps were severely hurting me. I was worried if I had a problem in my uterus. Although the specialist, who is male, examined me and explained kindly that there was no problem, I went to his office again half a year later. I was still suffering from the severe cramps. What he said was cold-blooded to me. "There is absolutely no need to re-examine you here. No serious illness develops all of a sudden and I told you that you were absolutely healthy." I counted on him badly because I WAS ILL. He didn't do anything but turned me down in a minute. He didn't even hear my heartbeats. Devastated, I drove home with my eyes flooded. Of course, I was mentally in bad condition, one of the typical mental symptoms of PMS. He should have been more thoughtful, I strongly insist. I was so shocked! SHOCKED!! ( who can recognize I am doing Phoebe? hehe.. )
Anyways...
( I am sorry this article is already too long to read.)
To reduce those symptoms, we, the patients, need to live in a healthier way. Exercise regularly, eat well (balanced diet), avoid too much sugar and salt. Yes, I am putting them into practice! I feel much better now but still there is mood swings. I am really like the moon. I have a cycle of positive and negative phases.

体のサイクルが月に支配されてるってことをとても実感します。
