The Five Love Languages

I will introduce an interesting book to you.
A book titled "The Five Love Languages." It says there are roughly five ways people feel loved when someone do something for you. It depends on you which way you feel loved.

When do you feel loved the most?

When;
1. someone tells you that he/she loves you?
2. someone spends more time with you than anyone else like his colleagues?
3. someone gives you a gift?
4. someone helps you do errands or something?
5. someone expresses his/her love through physical contact such as touching and cuddling?

It says you need to find your partner's way. Otherwise he/she would not understand, however hard you try to express your love. For instance, if your partner is Type 2, handreds of diamonds and roses are totally no use to impress her. She may think you try to buy her heart and that is insulting.. Hmmm, what a screw-up...

To sum up, the auther Mr. Chapman is trying to say that you need to speak your parrtner's love language but not yourself's. If you are a couple with constant quarrels, you and your partner might use a wrong way to express love to each other.
Even though you are Type 4, it is not the right way for your partner if he/she is Type 3. He/she may thank you by helping but no more than that.

I am definitely Type 4. I have seen my father dedicating himself for me and my sister since my mother died. I understand love is dedication.
And I found Yoshi seemingly, maybe Type 3? Because he seems to enjoy buying me a surprise gift (not so often though, heh, heh.) I got to tell this, the recent gift is huge! He gave me a travel to Europe! Yey! It is a part of his business trip but he bought me an air ticket and will take me with him!

For me, to tell you the truth, anywhere will be OK to travel if Yoshi is with me. But I should not tell him this. He will be dessapointed by my reaction, I think. Heh, heh.

Anyway, this book gives me a tip to keep good relationship with him! Nice Book!!

Randy Taguchi's essays

Oct 16, 2007 /

I just finished to read an essay written by Randy Taguchi, the columnist.
When I was around 28, I was into novels and essays of hers. Her expression was very strong that there must have been lots of Pros and Cons on her opinions.

At the period, I just got back from half-a-year holiday named "Language Study Abroad" in Australia. It was fruitful time there. I learnt how to make efforts "willingly." You may be surprised, I did not know the preasure to acheave something after makeing great efforts. In my small world, things given to me used to be everything. I envied those who had more than me but never tried to be like the one. I was not competitive at all because in my small world there was no competition. I give up from the beginning to be more than myself. No, it is not correct. I did not give up but had totally no idea how to try. I even had no idea what trying was. In Australia, I learnt how wonderful to enjoy making myself improved. What a preasure! I believed that I could do everything whenever I try hard enough, which of caurse wasn't true. As you may know, it is impossible anyway when it is impossible how much you try hard. I did not understand that because I was naive.

I felt at the time that what Randy-san said in her essays really explained my inner face. Sometimes it was too strong almost like off the hook but still energetic enough to attract me.

And this time, I read her book for the first time in years though, I found myself into it no more. However, still, she has a point. I still agree her opinions though.

Little Tern

Yesterday I got this book titled Little Tern. It is a story about a sea bird who suddenly lost his ability to fly. It is like a juvenile or fairy tale. Or more like a fable.

Yoshi and I went to Book-Off, the used book store on the way back from gym. Yoshi wanted to some business books as he always does. He is a spontaneously hard worker who loves to get information and knowledge. I respect him! .. Anyway.
I just followed him with no target book to get. However, it was not until I checked the price that I picked up the book and buy. Little Tern was a book I checked in the past but too expense for me to feel like buying although even at the time it was used and quite deal price. But this time, it was only 100 yen! No major damage or color fading. Lucky me.
Anyway again..

This kind of story prones to have abscure messages that readers could imagine the meaning on their own way. I thought, "oh, this is just my story." I am the one who lost ability to fly. No, maybe I left it somewhere just like a gost crub in the story told Little Turn.
This story somehow enlightened me.
