I will introduce an interesting book to you.
A book titled "The Five Love Languages." It says there are roughly five ways people feel loved when someone do something for you. It depends on you which way you feel loved.
When do you feel loved the most?
When;
1. someone tells you that he/she loves you?
2. someone spends more time with you than anyone else like his colleagues?
3. someone gives you a gift?
4. someone helps you do errands or something?
5. someone expresses his/her love through physical contact such as touching and cuddling?
It says you need to find your partner's way. Otherwise he/she would not understand, however hard you try to express your love. For instance, if your partner is Type 2, handreds of diamonds and roses are totally no use to impress her. She may think you try to buy her heart and that is insulting.. Hmmm, what a screw-up...
To sum up, the auther Mr. Chapman is trying to say that you need to speak your parrtner's love language but not yourself's. If you are a couple with constant quarrels, you and your partner might use a wrong way to express love to each other.
Even though you are Type 4, it is not the right way for your partner if he/she is Type 3. He/she may thank you by helping but no more than that.
I am definitely Type 4. I have seen my father dedicating himself for me and my sister since my mother died. I understand love is dedication.
And I found Yoshi seemingly, maybe Type 3? Because he seems to enjoy buying me a surprise gift (not so often though, heh, heh.) I got to tell this, the recent gift is huge! He gave me a travel to Europe! Yey! It is a part of his business trip but he bought me an air ticket and will take me with him!
For me, to tell you the truth, anywhere will be OK to travel if Yoshi is with me. But I should not tell him this. He will be dessapointed by my reaction, I think. Heh, heh.
Anyway, this book gives me a tip to keep good relationship with him! Nice Book!!
