Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a flexible or rigid material that is chemically nonreactive. PVC offers excellent corrosion and weather resistance, is a good electrical and thermal insulator. and very durable. PVC is the most widely used member of the vinyl family.
Expanded PVC is a foamed polyvinyl chloride sheet that is tough, has a high-strength to weight ratio, and is half the weight of solid PVC. Its extraordinary combination of features as well as its ease to cut and shape makes it ideal for industrial and commercial signage, exhibits, store/POP displays, kiosks, and more. Its smooth, matte surface finish readily accepts virtually any form of graphic overlay (print, paint, and photo mounting) or laminate to secondary substrates. Expanded PVC also has good screw and staple retention which makes it an ideal substitute for wood projects such as stage prop design and cabinetry.
