資本主義では温暖化が止まらない理由
資本主義は経済的自由と所有と民主主義を前提として成り立っている。経済的繁栄のための活動が第一のために人の様々な欲望を刺激する。これは、物やエネルギーの消費を常に費やす事に繋がる筈である。
SDGｓやサーキュラーエコノミーの取組みなど、経済界では温暖化を止めようという動きはあるものの、焼け石に水の状態であろう。エネルギー効率は時代と共に向上していても、地球全体の経済規模が拡大しているので、温暖化ガス排出の総量は増えているのである。
温暖化を止めるためには、先進諸国が本気になってガス排出の総量規制に踏み切る覚悟が必要である。
Why capitalism won't stop global warming
Capitalism is based on the premise of economic freedom, ownership, and democracy. Because economic prosperity is the primary goal, it stimulates various desires in people. This should lead to the constant consumption of goods and energy.
There are efforts in the business world to stop global warming, such as the SDGs and circular economy initiatives, but these efforts are a drop in the bucket. Even though energy efficiency has improved over time, the scale of the global economy is expanding, so the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions is increasing.
In order to stop global warming, developed countries need to get serious about imposing total amount control on gas emissions.
