於是、天皇患賜而、御寢之時、覺于御夢曰「修理我宮如天皇之御舍者、御子必眞事登波牟。自登下三字以音。」如此覺時、布斗摩邇邇占相而求何神之心、爾祟、出雲大神之御心。故、其御子令拜其大神宮將遣之時、令副誰人者吉、爾曙立王食ト。故、科曙立王令宇氣比白宇氣比三字以音「因拜此大神、誠有驗者、住是鷺巢池之樹鷺乎、宇氣比落。」
如此詔之時、宇氣比其鷺墮地死、又詔之「宇氣比活爾。」者、更活。又在甜白檮之前葉廣熊白檮、令宇氣比枯、亦令宇氣比生。爾名賜曙立王、謂倭者師木登美豐朝倉曙立王。
≪英訳≫
At that time, the Emperor slept while worrying and received a divine dream in bed. In the dream, he heard, ‘If you build a palace for me like the Emperor’s residence, the divine child will surely speak.’ Upon awakening, he sought to know the intentions of which deity, and the oracle of Futomani revealed that it was the heart of Ōkami of Izumo. Therefore, when he decided to send his child to pay homage at Ōkami’s shrine, he consulted diviners to determine who should accompany the child. The divination indicated that Prince Akitsumikami should be the companion. Thus, the Emperor instructed Prince Akitsumikami with an oath, ‘If this worship of Ōkami of Izumo is indeed true, then make the heron living on the tree by the pond of Saginosu’ Upon uttering this, the heron fell and died in the pond.
Furthermore, he said, ‘Revive the heron.’ The heron came back to life. He also made an oath to wither or revive the broad-leafed oak tree of Amakashi Cape. The Emperor bestowed the name ‘Prince Akitsumikami of Yamato, the ruler of Shiki, Tsumi, Toyoasakura.’
≪この英文の和訳≫
その時、天皇は御心配なさり、お寝(やす)みになっている時に、夢で神様からお諭(さと)しを受けられました。その内容は「私の御殿を天皇の宮殿のように造ったなら、御子が必ず物を言うようになるだろう」というものでした。それで、太卜(ふとまに)のをして、どの神様の御心なのかを占いましたところ、その祟（たたり）は出雲の大神の御心であることがわかりました。そして、その御子に大神の宮を拝みに遣(つか)わす時、誰を従えたらよいのかと占いましたところ、アケタツの王（皇子）が合いました。そのため、アケタツの王に誓言を申すよう申し付けられました。「この大神を拝むことにより、本当にその霊驗があるならば、この鷺の巣の池に住む鷺が私の誓いによって落ちること」とお伝えになりました。その結果、鷺が池に落ちて死んでしまいました。さらに、「生き返らせよ」とお誓いになり、その鷺は生き返りました。また、甘柏（あまかし）の岬の広葉の立派なカシの木に対しても、誓いを立てて活かしたり枯らしたりしました。それにより、アケタツの王(皇子）に対して『大和は師木(しき)、登美(とみ)の豊朝倉(とよあさくら)のアケタツの王』という名前が贈られました。
