Malaysian Guests fully enjoyed Tokyo Shitamachi tour including Asakusa, Ryogoku etc.

We started the tour at Asakusa. The first visit point was Kaminarimon. Guests were very much surprised by cold weather, however they were ready to keep warm by wearing thick jackets.

After visiting on Main Hall of Senso-Ji temple, we entered into Denpoin Garden. We were quite lucky, because the garden is generally closed for public. Denpoin Garden is open only few weeks a year.

Since guests have great interest on Sumo, a visit program on a Sumo stable was prepared. Kataonami Stable, located near to the Ryogoku Kokugikan, kindly gave us a chance to visit their stable and to talk with Oyakata (Coach) and Sumo wrestlers.

We enjoyed Japanese style lunch at a restaurant neighboring to the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Guests can enjoy Sumo culture in the restaurant. The restaurant offers Sumo Stable style lunch “Chanko Nabe”, and a full scale Sumo Ring is prepared in the main hall.

While we took lunch, rain fortunately stopped. We can walk outside without umbrella in the afternoon. After short visit to Akihabara, we moved to Ueno. In Ueno Park, we visited Statue of Takamori SAIGO, Kiyomizu Do, Toshogu Shrine (under repairing works) etc.

A main guide and a sub-guide were quite happy hearing the guests’ appreciation for the one day tour for Tokyo Shitamachi.
