2012-02-25 | Guide Report

These days Tokyo had cold days as for the temperature was remarkably drop down. Fortunatelly blessed with good weather, we enjoyed TOKYO 1-day trip around Tsukiji, Hamarikyu garden, Asakusa, to  Meiji jingo shrine Covering the must-seeing spots in our city.

-Tsukiji Exciting spots with huge heads of tuna in the basket, gigantic shellfishes, octpuses, lobsters .

we walk around in Tsukiji market so bustling places. There are plenty of shops dealing fishes, marine products even a few meat shops there that we can say that the market featuring every kinds of foods, table delicacies, novelties in our country.

- Hamarikyu garden  placed in neighboring Tsukiji market was where we were so impressed by its beautiful tranquil atmosphere. Winter view only for now that we can not see in other seasons that Every trees were appeared in the winter style  “Yukizuri” suspension made on trees to protect branches from frost and snow to prevent branches broken,

“Komomaki” straw trunk wrapping to beat  insects though it actually not to be so effective because their nature enemies are also disposed . These are made on purpose but looks so beautiful itself matching the landscape..

We watched “Chaya” teahouse, Nakajima-no-chaya, and Matsuno-chaya which lately rebuilt in the garden appearing its new style with smell of Japanes

cypress its own. - Next destination, to Asakusa we went on a cruise from garden to have such a wonderful time bathing sunshine and fresh air.

We went up the Sumida river under the various style bridges passed through.

Closing to Asakusa, the latest trendy spot, Tokyo Sky Tree  the worldly tallest tower with 634m height,  appeared In our sight that will be grand opened in coming May

 - Asakusa  We changed the plan for our lunch to have a sushi to Soba, buckwheat noodle because my favorite sushi-train restaurant(dishes on the conveyer belt) was under renovation. Mrs Blatcher has allergy of dairy products and gluten so I thought

sushi was good for her lunch. Fortunately she could eat Soba and I found good soba restaurant neighboring and savored nice warm soba. And then strolled about Asakusa Nakamise, Sensoji

temple.  It was so amazing  and nice to know such a crowded people  around Asakusa even on weekday.

-Meiiji Jingu shrine  we ended the last destination at Meiji Jingu shrine, the greatest shrine in Tokyo surrounded by

deep greenery placed in so huge area just neighboring Omotesando, the most fashionable, trendy town crowded by the young people.

Leaving Meiji Jingu we dropped in café at Omotesando and had a rest  and talking with a cup of coffee.

I really had a fun to have a chance to go around Tokyo to show them the modern and old faces both in our city.

Thank you so much and have  a fun of the rest of your journey !!

Good luck
