Today shared the recipe of egg lababdar, a mughlai cuisine having a different taste than usual egg curry. If you are looking for any special dish for special occasions, then do try this creamy egg curry. Serve with naan or simple roti and rice and enjoy its deliciousness.

1 cup=250 ml     1 tbsp=15ml    1 tsp=5ml

Prep time: 10 minutes      Cooking time: 35 minutes   Serve: 4

 

Ingredients:

To make paste

Tomatoes – 3 small

Garlic cloves – 8

Ginger juvenile – 5 of ½ inch

Cinnamon – ½ inch

Green cardamom – 1

Cloves – 2

Black peppercorns – 4

Cashews – 10

Water – 2 cup

 

Other Ingredients:

Boiled eggs – 6

Oil – 2 tbsp

Bay leaf – 1

Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

Green cardamom – 1

Cloves – 2

Finely chopped onions – 1 large

Tumeric powder – ½ tsp

Red chilli powder – ½ - ¾ tsp

Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Coriander powder – 1 tsp

Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp

Water – 1 cup

Sugar- ½ tsp

Salt – To taste

Crushed Kasuri methi – 1 tbsp

Fresh cream – 2 tbsp

White part of 1 egg

Coriander leaves

 

Recipe:

  1. Boil 2 cups water. Add all ingredients listed under make paste.
  2. Boil for 8-10 mins. Switch off the flame and remove water.
  3. Cool ingredients. Peel off the skin of tomatoes. Roughly chop them and add to the grinder.
  4. Add all other ingredients to grinder and grind all to the smooth paste. Use water if required. Keep this paste aside.
  5. Cut half 5 boiled eggs and keep aside.
  6. Heat oil in a pan. Add bay leaf, cumin seeds, green cardamom, cloves and chopped onions. Fry till onions turn soft.
  7. Add above tomato paste. Cook for 2-3 mins.
  8. Add turmeric, red chilli, kashmiri red chilli, coriander, garam masala powder and mix well.
  9. Cook till oil leaves the pan. Add water, sugar and salt. Mix well.
  10. Add boiled eggs and cover pan. Cook for 8-10 mins. on low flame.
  11. Remove lid and add kasuri methi, cream and grate white part of 1 egg. Mix well with light hands.
  12. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve and enjoy.

Hi, Navratri is going to come and many people do fasting in this. If you are looking for easy snack or breakfast for your vrat or navratri, then this recipe is perfrct for you. Even if fasting is not there, still you can make these pakodas.
1 cup=250 ml     1 tbsp=15ml    1 tsp=5ml
Soaking time: 4 hours    Prep Time: 10 minutes   Cooking time: 15 minutes Serve: 4
Ingredients:
Sago soaked for 4- hours. - 1 cup
Peanuts - 1/4 cup
Boiled potatoes - 4 small
Green chillies - 2
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Rock salt - To taste
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Rajgira flour - 1/2 cup
Oil for frying

Recipe :
Soak 1 cup sabudan for 4-5 hours.
Dry roast peanuts till golden brown and grind to smooth powder. Add to sabudana.
Mash boiled potaoes very well and add to sabudana.
Add green chillies, sugar, rock salt, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, rajgira flour.
Mix everything very well. Make small balls and deep fry in hot oil. 
Note: Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown. Carefully drop sabudana balls in kadai.
As sabudanas are soft, so after putting balls in oil, don't move it with spoon for first 2-3 mins. 
Serve with green chutney.

Hi, today’s special recipe is banana custard which I made using vanilla custard powder available easily at stores. Try this refreshing recipe in summers and enjoy the dessert with your family.

1 cup=250 ml     1 tbsp=15ml    1 tsp=5ml

Prep time: 15 minutes           Mixing Time: 2 minutes   Refrigeration time: 1 hour   Serve: 4

 

For Custard mix:

Vanilla Custard powder – 4 tbsp.  (Note: you can also use normal custard powder + ½ tsp vanilla essence)

Milk – ¼ cup

Powdered sugar – 4 tbsp

 

Other ingredients:

Milk – 1 litre

Chopped Cashews – 20

Raisins – 20

Sliced bananas – 6

Chocolate shavings to garnish

 

Recipe:

  1. Mix all ingredients listed under custard mix. Lumps shouldn’t form.
  2. Heat 1 litre of milk. Boil it and lower the flame.
  3. Add custard mix slowly slowly in the milk. Keep stirring milk otherwise lumps will form.
  4. Cook for 4-5 minutes on low flame. Mixture will thicken and start coating the spoon.
  5. This is the time you should switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down.
  6. Add cashews, raisins and chopped bananas. Mix well and chill for 2 hours atleast before serving.
  7. Garnish with chocolate shavings. (optional)
  8. Enjoy.
