子曰、學而時習之、不亦説乎、有朋自遠方来、不亦楽乎、人不知而不慍、不亦君子乎

子曰(い)わく、学びて時にこれを習う、亦(また)説(よろこ)ばしからずや。朋(とも)有りて遠方より来たる、亦楽しからずや。人知らずして慍(うら)みず、亦君子ならずや。

Confucius said,
孔子がおっしゃいました、

"To learn and to review those you learned are pleasure.
「学んだことを時に復習するのはより理解が深まり楽しい事だ。
To see a friend from far is a joy.
友人が遠くから訪ねてくれて学問について話合うのは喜ばしい事だ。
Not to have a grudge even if you are not appreciated by others.

It is gentlemanly."

他人に理解されなくとも気にしないと言うのはとても立派な事だ。」
