日経新聞でも少し前に報じられていますが、国際的会計事務所のネットワークであるRSM Internationalに加盟する基本合意に至ったという清和監査法人のプレスリリースです。

加盟の目的については３つあげていますが、IFRS対応も理由の一つになっています。

・顧客の在外関係会社の監査をRSMのネットワークを活用して円滑に実施する。

・EUやオーストラリア等、国際会計基準(IFRS)先進国のノウハウを日本に導入し、会計監査に役立てる。

・海外への上場を検討している顧客に、RSMのネットワークを活用して、迅速かつ質の高い監査業務を提供する。

トップページには中小企業向けのIFRSに関する小冊子へのリンクが張ってありました。ターゲットとしている企業が大手事務所とは少し違うのでしょう。

メンバー・ファームの加盟を認める際の考え方について以下のように書いています。質の高い事務所しか加盟させない、加盟には厳しい基準があり、厳格な検査と研修が求められているとされています。また、一般にそれぞれの国において上位１０位内に入る事務所でなければならないようです。
