CFOs set example on sustainability

Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability CFO Leadership Networkという、英国のCFOの団体のメンバーが、サステナビリティを企業経営におけるプロセスや意思決定に統合するためのガイドを公表したという記事。

A group of 16 chief financial officers from some of the UK’s leading businesses has come together to develop ways of integrating sustainability into business processes and decisions

The CFOs, who are all members of the Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability CFO Leadership Network, have published their thinking in four practical guides.

投資意思決定にサステナビリティ（持続可能性）を組み込む方法、投資家の関与を増進する方法、将来の不確実性をマネージする方法、自然資本・社会的資本会計という４つのテーマを取り上げています。

These include CAPEX, which offers advice on embedding sustainability into capital investment appraisal; Enhancing Investor Engagement, which explains how investor relations teams can engage on the drivers of sustainable value; Managing Future Uncertainty, which shows how to integrate risks resulting from macro sustainability trends into business decision-taking; and Natural and Social Capital Accounting, which introduces the subject to finance teams.

今後もプロジェクトを継続し、ケーススタディやガイダンスを追加するそうです。

The Network project is ongoing. More case studies will be published later in the year as network members implement the approaches outlined in the guides, while the organisation will undertake new projects to develop more guidance. Topics will include integrated management reporting and embedding sustainability into budgeting and forecasting.
