PwC、英国議会で厳しく追及、「産業的規模」で租税回避を販売（economiaより）

PwC sold avoidance on "industrial scale”

英国議会の委員会に英国PwCの税務部門の責任者が呼ばれて、租税回避サービスを「産業的規模」で「大量販売」していると追及されたという記事。

Margaret Hodge and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) yesterday subjected Big Four firm PwC to a two-hour interrogation over its involvement in the Lux-leaks scandal

MPs repeatedly accused Kevin Nicholson, PwC’s UK head of tax, and the firm of “mass-marketing” tax avoidance “on an industrial scale”.

ルクセンブルグの税務当局が、世界各国の企業と課税に関する秘密の合意を行っていたことにPｗCが関与していたことに関連して、そのような追及を受けたようです。

The comments were made with regards to leaked documents that revealed PwC’s involvement in arranging complex tax structures in Luxembourg, involving companies such as Dyson, Amazon, FedEx and the Guardian Media Group. In total, the documents showed 548 letters with PwC headed paper, outlining a number of tax structures.

英米では、日本より、大手会計事務所の存在感が大きい一方で、多国籍企業の味方だとして、風当たりも強いようです。
