Four of us and Jack went to Tamba, Hyogo, where Aunt Yuriko and her dog Chibi-chan are. They are alone living together. Chibi-chan has been accompanied with her for a long time. She must have been comforted Aunt Yuriko who is single. Chibi-chan is over 15 years old Shiba, blind and having a bit of dementia.
Jack met Chibi-chan for the first time. He didn't recognize her as a dog, it seemed. In fact Chibi-chan's moves are so unusual. She gimps along a wall and bump into another wall at a corner because she cannot see. Still she doesn't stop moving her legs toward the wall but growling to express that she want to keep on moving forward until someone helps her turn the direction.
Aunt Yuriko still loves Chibi-chan so much. She takes care of her with lots of smile. There is no sign of depression on her even though Chibi-chan's hopeless condition... I am a kind of impressed. Aunt Yuriko is looking on only the bright side! Looking at Chibi-chan still alive today but not her future. I thought that is the way life should be..
