It was the scariest storm I have ever experienced before!! Thunderbolt struck power poles right in front ofmy house!! What a light and noise ... !! It just froze me with my mouth kept open...
It started to rain around 6 pm. As the thunder came closer, Jack my cute black dog was getting to act more weirdly. I kept cheering him up who looked me up with teary timid eyes. Don't worry Jack! You have me right beside you!
Lightning flashed all over the sky many times and rain was pouring like washing everything outside. Jack's hind legs kept shivering he put his head into the darkness of the pantry staples, ....which was funny! Sorry Jack!
I don't know how many times I cheered Jack up. It was when I tried to rub him, the icy blue lightning and horrifying thunderclap went off at the same time. The next second I saw big spark and then blackout all of a sudden! OH..., MY...!!!!
I held Jack tight in the dark and immediately made a call to Yoshi, who were supposed to be at work. I tried to suggest him not to come back home now otherwise he would be the nest object that the lighting strikes... He said it would be OK because it would take more than 30 minutes to go until he got home.. He advised me back to light candles. Oh, yes, candles. It reminded me the fact that I was panicking. I totally forgot about candles and stayed in the dark!!
The blackout went on like 2 hours and still the power wasn't back. Yoshi and I ate dinner in the candlelight, which wasn't romantic at all by the way. I called a power plant to tell them about the spark. Soon after 2 crane trucks and some workers arrived and tried to fix the power lines. It took hours. When I woke up in the middle of the night, around 2 am, the workers were still working on the line.
Phew...
Living in mountain side is not at all easy...
