ディストピア民主主義: 米国人だけが投票権を持つ地球皇帝によって統治された世界

Part 1 Abstract:
"China Is a Paper Dragon", David Frum,  speech writer for George W. Bush,  recently wrote. I agree with him on a few points, and point out further:
1. China is a Hedgehog, not a Wolf Warrior as it claims to be.
2. China is more of a Bogeyman than a Paper Dragon, since it is specially created by US to scare and mislead.
3. Frum inadvertently confessed that US trade deficit is good to US while US politicians have always made a big deal out of it, using it as a bargain chip to drive home more gains.

1. "China is a paper dragon"

In which (ref. 1)  Frum wrote:
"China may well surpass the United States as the largest economy on Earth by the 2030s. China was also almost certainly the largest economy on Earth in the 1830s. A big GDP did not make China a superpower then—and it will not make China a superpower now".
"Repression is expensive".

Actually I reached similar conclusion from different angle(ref. 3):
"While Russia's economy is a lot smaller than Japan's, which in turn is smaller than China, its military power and influence is bigger than China's",  "There is no direct correlation between the military power of a country and its GDP".

2. "Wolf Warrior" sounds scary, in reality China is more like a Hedgehog.

China boasts "Wolf Warrior" diplomacy in its propaganda. But to me, it's more like a Hedgehog diplomacy.
A wolf hunts for prey around, is proactive, and its threat is global and fatal. A hedgehog is reactive and its threat is local and non-fatal. China's behavior is characteristic of a hedgehog.

Recently, US enrolled a number of western powers to send their naval fleets to China's periphery for a show of force, see, that's how wolves behave. In the past, UK grabbed Malvinas Islands from Argentina located more than 10,000 miles away from UK , Russia grabbed (maybe the wrong word, since the ownership is a complicated issue) Crimea, US has bombed around the global and killed millions, what has China done so far for it to deserve the name wolf warrior? China pales so much against these countries.

Even India, a poor and under-developed country, is more aggressive and belligerent than China, for instances, the breakup of Pakistan, the annexation of Sikkim, the intervention in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh, and multiple times of aggressions and bullying of Pakistan. India's war with China is interesting. The Indians started the war, since China was significantly weaker than today and Indians thought this might be an opportunity to bully China a bit, like it had done with the other weak neighbors. But when China fought back, Indians failed unexpectedly and humiliatingly with a loss (deaths plus the captured) ratio as bad as 10 to 1.

You may have wondered, why many small and weak countries bordered with China, for instance, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Kazakhstan..., do not feel threatened by China, but a far away country like Australia fears its national security threatened by China?

Answer: China is both a hedgehog and a bogeyman. Cambodia does not buy the China threat propaganda by US, so a nearby hedgehog is no threat. Australia, with its media and politics largely under US control, would believes China is a threat even if China were as far away as on a different planet. (ref. 17)

3. The motivation for US to make China a bogeymand

Geopolitics theorem: the more confrontational the global security situation is, the more exploitation US can collect from its allies and the rest of the world.

Nothing can be more effective than bogeyman to persuade countries to submit to a hegemony and dominator. For example, the protection fees from its "Allies" and the extremely profitable weaponry sales to its allies. Japan falls into this category. Mongolia, a country surrounded by the two bogeymen of US: China and Russia, is a counter example who does not buy US's bogeyman theory, and has saved enormously on both protection fee and arms purchasing from US.

Additionally, US also uses the promise of protection as a bargain chip to gain additional concession and benefits, for examples, to crack open critical and sensitive markets, such as financial, news media etc., and to drive competitors' companies out of the markets of the countries, thus giving US companies lucrative monopoly. These will be discussed later in more detail.

Bogeyman is also a smoke to cover up US's own bad deeds. US has killed ~6 millions people (ref. 9, 11, 13), mostly Muslims, since 9/11/2001, hyping up the China Uyghur genocide story (ref. 8, 10, 12, 14) certainly is a good distract.

Why China? China happens to have the second largest GDP and it is approaching US, this is really worrisome for lots of Americans.

To cover the entire global geopolitics, US need two bogeymen. Russia, which happens to be the 2nd military power of the world, got the ticket for another bogeyman.

US tries to paint Russia and China as some kind of evil, if US were not creating bogeymen for its own selfish agenda, but were such an angel country fighting for international justice, then how to explain the hypocrisy and cheating of US with regard to Saddam? US first supplied forbidden chemical weapons to Saddam during Iraq-Iran war (ref. 15, 29, 30), later US cited the owning of chemical weapons and genocide as the excuse to invade, both were faked. Also, what has US done, when UK grabbed Malvinas from Argentina, or when Israel has been grabbing Palestine land and killing its people, or when the Prince of Saudi Arabia dismembered Khashoggi?

US has the capability to create two bogeymen, since it has the most powerful propaganda machine in the world, it has gained a significant control in the media of 2nd tier world powers. The success story of US's disinformation campaign on Saddam of Iraq is a demonstration of its capability, where US used a tube of detergent powder to establish Saddam as having WMD and used concocted evidences (ref. 15) to establish Saddam as genocide criminal. No other country can do that.

The complete story of the frame-up against Saddam is even dirtier. US first supplied Saddam with chemical weapons for it to be used against Iran (ref. 29). This supply is a crime by itself, forbidden by International convention. Saddam then used it up in the war with Iran. But since Saddam was on US's side then, Americans turned a blind eye to it. During the public opinion manipulation before invading into Iraq, US believed Saddam still had it, so Powell used a tube of laundry detergent as the evidence of Saddam owning WMD.

While Americans are advocating the threat that China wants to dominate the whole world, US itself is the news media, the SNS, the law maker, the judge, the police, the banking system, and many more controlling elements of the world, and it is strengthening its grip on every day of every year. For example, US's illegal sanction on Iran, denies every people on earth the right to buy cheaper oil from Iran and deny the Iranian people the rights to get food and medicines for basic living from the world. This illegal sanction has also sent a business woman to custody in Canada (ref. 27, 28), to be extradited to US, for some transactions with Iranians carried out in Hong Kong. This long arm jurisdiction is such a serious threat and harm to the global community!

Bogeymen tactic helps US to hide its advantages and intention so that it can boil the world like a frog in warm water.

4. The US is the creator of the bogeyman, the misleader of the fake China threat theory, not the one who got misled.

US indeed has done a great deal to hype up the China threat theory, i.e. making China a bogeyman.

American politicians, such as Steve Bannon, have been traveling around the world, to spread a doctrine that China wants to make the whole world its tributary states, while US's military spending exceeds the combined sum of the next 12 countries and has numerous military bases around the world.

US has used Meng Wanzhou incident to have successfully turned China into an adversary of Canada.
US is using border dispute to turn, or to have turned Japan, Philippine, India into adversaries of China.
US has used its strong media and political presence in Australia, to have turned Australia into adversary of China even though it's hard to conceive how China, a hedgehog far away from Australia, can pose a national security threat to Australia.
US has successfully enrolled German and France, at the other side of the earth, to join naval expeditions to South China Sea with a few other countries. This will in turn sour the relationship between China and these countries, as calculated by US.

US has been using disinformation to smear China in all possible ways:

  • The bloomberg.com has concocted a fake China spy chip story (ref. 4, 5, 6, 7) to demonize China and Chinese companies in general, while America is notorious for eavesdropping (the Prism project etc.) (ref. 26) on other countries, including its allies.
  • US has also been trying to demonize China with a fake Uighur genocide crime (ref.  8, 10, 12, 13, 14). But please note these: US itself is almost regarded the common enemy of the Islam, it has killed about 6 millions lives (ref. 9, 11), mostly innocent Muslims in the name of anit-terrorism, a 1000 times revenge for the deaths in 911. US had supported Bin Laden, the culprit for 911, but now it is again supporting a group of Uighur (Islamic) terrorists.
  • CNN article (ref. 16) says: "China claims almost all of the 1.3 million-square-mile South China Sea as its sovereign territory", See, this is a textbook example of constant smearing on China, hypocrisy and double standard, using distortion and exaggeration. By that logic, many more countries would be blamed too, e.g., we can then say US claims more than half of pacific ocean as its territory (hint: the location of Guam)?

I have to say Americans are really smart and mighty, they wrote the script, every countries (including China and Russia) have played out its role accordingly so far. All the scripted events lead to the gain of US national interests at the expense of both China/Russia and the other parties (US's Allies) in the script, the whole world is played by US, this will be discussed later.

Liar 1 Liar 2 Liar in Chief

5. Trump is an odd combo, while a misleader, is also misled by himself, since he is a moron

Trump, although he brags as stable genius, actually is a moron who can not think in logically correct way.

Why so?  Bob Woodward's recording shows that Trump deliberately downplayed the covid19 pandemic while fully aware of its severity since the very beginning, and Trump confessed all these to Bob, a journalist, doesn't these suffice to establish him as a moron? Even a man with mediocre IQ would have known that a pandemic like covid19 must be dealt with like a wild fire (extinguish at the earliest !), or it will cause enormous losses, and would not confess his thinking to a journalist who brought down president Nixon. Imagine a firefighter confesses to a journalist: "I deliberately downplayed the fire outbreak, I always wanted to".

The Trump administration's attacks on China also exemplified that he is a moron and a liar too.

He cheated all Americans on 2020/03/05: "The 3.4% death rate from China data must be exaggerated, the rate should be way below 1%, just like a flu". Later, to cover his own ass, Trump and his goons used tons of disinformation to scapegoat China, e.g. Navarro : "China deliberately sent infected people to spread the virus around the world", Pence: "China understated its data, it cheated the world".

These attacks are either contradictory with one another, or not even close to plausible.

It would be too hard for a moron like Trump to know the things that Frum talked about. Trump naively believes China is the real threat, not a fake threat, or a bogeyman. Trump also has done a great deal to hype up the China threat. Most famously: "China is raping us".

6. Mr. Frum inadvertently confessed that the current US trade deficit status is good for US. Why?

Frum: "U.S. policy makers should look to the future with a little more confidence and a lot more trust in trade, markets, and the superior potential of a free people."

Usually American leaders are crafty, they know that the US trade deficit is a blood-sucking from the world economy and is good for US, so, on one hand, they raise budget deficit and issue more US$ to Americans which in turn causes more US trade deficit, on another hand, they raise up the volume of complaining voice and blame their trade deficit on other's unfair trade practice. They have been whining for the job loss of their workers while laughing the world behind closed doors.

Trade deficit is only bad for countries who can not print unlimited amount of money and that money is the de facto global currency. The declining of some non-essential industries, as a result of the trade deficit, such as garment, toy, etc. have no effect on US hegemony. All the affected workers in those industries can live on welfare (Remember, US can print money at will), or be transferred to other industries.

Trump is one of a kind, remember I said that he is stupid, he forgot that the bogeymen are created by America to mislead the rest of the world, instead, he got misled himself. Trump, unlike his predecessors, he played it for real, he hiked the import tariffs with many countries, which impedes the blood-sucking from world economy by US. In a nutshell, the US president Trump had been shooting US in the foot.

Because Trump is an excellent showboat and megaphone, Trump's self-misleading got widespread acceptance in US, this could cause serious trouble for later American leaders. That's why Frum has to speak out the truth and confess that trade deficit is good for US.
