中立の力 （power of neutrality）
２社の大企業が、ある企業に夫々優秀なコンサルタントを派遣し、提案をしたとする。提案には夫々の自社製品が記載され、採用されるように売り込まれているとする。産業界では何処にでもある話である。
しかしながら、顧客企業の方ではどうだろうか？本当に我社にとって、良い提案なのかどうかと疑いの気持ちを持つのが当然である。
同様な事は国際政治の場においても言う事が出来る。今、世界は特に温暖化問題では協力し合わなければならないのにも関わらず、大国同士が反目し合っている。歴史や宗教、利害が複雑に絡み合って、大義の基に世界が団結する事が出来ない。
日本は欧米や中東の国々とは違い、宗教的な対立とは無縁であり、JICAを通じた国際支援事業で多くの国から感謝されている。第二次世界大戦で獲得した日本国民の非戦への思いも強いものがある。
このような信用という財産は、日本が大義を掲げて国際政治を主導していくための重要な資源である。欧米に諂うような外交姿勢から脱却して、国際協力に焦点を当てて邁進すべきである。
Suppose two large companies each dispatched excellent consultants to a certain company and made a proposal. It is assumed that each company's product is described in the proposal and is being marketed for adoption. It is a story that is everywhere in the industrial world.
However, what about client companies? It is natural for us to have doubts about whether it is really a good proposal for our company.
The same thing can be said in the field of international politics. Even though the world needs to work together, especially on the issue of global warming, major powers are at odds with each other. Histories, religions, and interests are intricately intertwined to prevent the world from uniting on a cause.
Unlike countries in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, Japan is free from religious conflicts, and many countries appreciate its international assistance projects through JICA. There is also a strong feeling that the Japanese people, who got from losing World War II, have the idea of no war.
Such an asset of credibility is an important resource for Japan to take the lead in international politics with a great cause. Japan should move away from a diplomatic attitude that flatters the West and focus on international cooperation.
