廿二年冬十一月甲寅朔甲子、大將軍物部大連麁鹿火、親與賊帥磐井交戰於筑紫御井郡。旗鼓相望、埃塵相接、決機兩陣之間、不避萬死之地、遂斬磐井、果定疆場。十二月、筑紫君葛子、恐坐父誅、獻糟屋屯倉、求贖死罪。
廿三年春三月、百濟王謂下哆唎國守穗積押山臣曰「夫朝貢使者、恆避嶋曲謂海中嶋曲崎岸也。俗云、美佐祁毎苦風波。因茲、濕所齎、全壞无色。請、以加羅多沙津、爲臣朝貢津路。」是以、押山臣爲請聞奏。

In the 22nd year, during the winter, on the first day of the 11th month, General Ōaraki of the Mononobe clan personally engaged in battle with the rebel leader Iwai in the Mii district of Tsukushi (modern-day Kyushu). The two armies faced each other, their banners flying, and the dust from the marching troops filled the air as both sides fought fiercely, unwilling to retreat. Eventually, Ōaraki was able to slay Iwai, successfully suppressing the rebellion.
In December, Tsukushi no Kimi Kuzuko, the son of Iwai, fearing that he might be executed due to his father’s crimes, offered the Kasuya Granary to the imperial court in exchange for his life.
In the 23rd year, in the spring of the 3rd month, the king of Baekje spoke to Hozumi no Oshiyama, the governor of the country of Aridari (modern-day Korea), saying, “Whenever the envoys sent to Japan pass the headlands in the middle of the sea, they suffer greatly from stormy winds and waves. This causes their cargo to get wet and damaged. Therefore, I request that the port of Tasa in the land of Kara (Gaya) be used as the official port for our tribute missions to Japan.” Oshiyama no Omi delivered this request to the emperor.

廿二年目の冬、十一月の最初の日に、物部氏の将軍・麁鹿火（おあらかい）は、筑紫(つくし)の御井郡(みいのこおり)で反乱軍の首領である磐井（いわい）と直接戦った。両軍は互いに向かい合い、軍旗がはためき、軍勢が巻き起こす埃が空を覆う中、両軍は激しく戦い、誰も退こうとしなかった。最終的に、麁鹿火は磐井を討ち取り、反乱を完全に鎮圧した。
十二月、磐井の息子である筑紫君葛子（つくしのきみくずこ）は、父の罪によって処刑されることを恐れ、糟屋(かすや)の屯倉（みやけ）を朝廷に献上し、死罪を免れるよう請うた。
廿三年目の春、三月、百済の王は下哆唎（しもたり）の国の守りである穂積押山臣（ほづみのおしやまのおみ）に次のように語った。「日本への使節が海の岬を通るたびに、風や波に苦しめられています。このため、船に積んだ荷物が濡れてしまい、大きな損害を受けています。そこで、加羅（から）の国の多沙津（たさつ）を、日本への朝貢の公式な港として使用できるよう、どうかお取り計らいください。」穂積押山臣はこの要請を天皇に報告した。
