「The Boxer」は、Simon & Garfunkel（ｻｲﾓﾝ&ｶﾞｰﾌｧﾝｸﾙ）が1969年に発表したｼﾝｸﾞﾙで､5月のﾋﾞﾙﾎﾞｰﾄﾞHot 100で7位を記録し､1970年、ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ“Bridge Over Troubled Waters.明日に架ける橋”に収録されました。動画は1981年のｾﾝﾄﾗﾙ･ﾊﾟｰｸ・ｺﾝｻｰﾄでものですが、ｽﾀｼﾞｵ・ﾊﾞｰｼﾞｮﾝのみ含まれていない「失われた歌詞」と呼ばれるﾊﾟｰﾄが存在します。これは、作詞の段階でもともとあった部分だと考えられ､該当箇所は歌詞「太字」のところとなります。

Bob Dylanは､1970年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Self Portrait”､Joan Baezは､‎1980年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Europa Tournee‎”､The King's Singers は､ ‎1992年､ｱﾙﾊﾞﾑ”Good Vibrations”に曲を収録しています。最後の動画は2007年の〔「Paul Simon and Friends Concert」での女性ﾌｨﾄﾞﾙ奏者､Alison Krauss（ｱﾘｿﾝ･ｸﾗｳｽ）とﾌﾞﾙｰｸﾞﾗｽ/ｶﾝﾄﾘｰの分野で活動しているｼﾝｶﾞｰ･ｿﾝｸﾞﾗｲﾀｰ､Shawn Colvin（ｼｮｰﾝ･ｺﾙｳﾞｨﾝ）とのLive映像です。
