We had two visitors from California who are both women. First, we met them at their hotel in Shinagawa and headed to Tsukiji Fish Market to have a look at the vibrant market area. The variety of vegetables and marine products attracted them a lot such as big tunas, the various small colored leaves and goods which indicate the autumn season. They have been most interested in Japanese cuisine such as sushi and I think lunch in Sushi restaurant was most appreciated.
The 300 years old pine tree in the Hamarikyu Garden situated close to the market welcomed us. From there, it took us 45 minutes cruising the Sumida river and headed us to Asakusa. The newest sightseeing spot known as the Tokyo sky tree tower and the uniquely-shaped building, “the image of a glass of beer with the frost on its top caught our eyes.
Asakusa was crowded as usual, like a carnival..
Last destination was Ginza which we found out that it was decorated by the Christmas illuminations, where they said looks like the Times square in New York . They invited me to dinner and enjoyed the “Nabe Ryori”, a hot pot dish and “cold Sake” the cold Japanese rice wine.
I hope it made them sleep well.
See you again.
