Everyone’s individuality was in full bloom (TWICE)

全員個性のきらめきを満開させた(TWICE)

18th place TWICE “MORE & MORE”

I think it's safe to say that TWICE was the first K-POP girl group to have their individuality flourish. The same was true for KARA in Japan, but TWICE has blossomed worldwide.
I'm sure there are many ONCE fans of TWICE who can say all the members' names in Sora. There are probably no ONCEs who would be okay with knowing their favorite members and two or three members.
With the K-POP boom in 2010, girl groups from South Korea flooded into Japan, but I think fans at the time didn't care about remembering everyone's names. This is because I was watching the stage with more emphasis on the performance as a girl group.
The reason why the receiver of the music was listening to K-POP in such a mood must be because the sender's intention was also ``positive''.
If a group of 4 or 5 people had as much exposure as KARA on TV, the names of all the members would have naturally slipped into the hippocampus behind the ears. However, there were probably only a few people who watched it trying to remember all nine girls. If I was nervous about that, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the performance. In other words, the K-POP girls' stages were just that much more interesting to watch...
It took me a long time to remember everyone's names, even in Girls' Generation, which was so popular at the time.
However, once TWICE decided to memorize it, it was surprisingly fast. This is probably due to the emergence of "vlive" and other devices that have begun to spread the word.
I guess it's because I've become more discerning about performances, such as the power of the dance, the way the dances line up, the cleverness of the choreography, and how well it works with the singing voice...
TWICE had a great sense of musical style. The fact that each member's individuality has shined through in a fairly short period of time and their popularity has come out in a well-balanced manner is a good sign. Although I never heard anyone say they were ``particularly good'' at singing or dancing (I even heard people saying they weren't very good at it), I remember remembering the names of the members more and more. Chaeyoung was late in becoming popular, but I got the impression that her name was well remembered...
If TWICE had appeared in 2010, Jihyo, Nayeon, and Momo might have stood out, while Chaeyoung and Dahyun might have only made an impression. I can almost hear the current ONCEs saying in unison, "This is outrageous."
Nowadays, it seems that "total performance power" is once again attracting attention... It's similar to the energy of 2010, but it's one level above the spiral staircase.
