「第2波まっただ中」感染症学会理事長 政府は明言せず

新型コロナウイルスの最大の脅威は、感染しているにも関わらず、なかなか自覚症状の出ないところ。
そのため、ウイルス保有者が日常生活を送り続け周囲にウイルスをばらまき、感染者数を増幅させてしまう。
　
おそらく潜伏期間が長いのだろう。
だからPCR検査をして、ようやく感染したことの判明するケースが多数。
　
これが従来のインフルエンザなどでは、感染して数日で高熱なり悪寒なりの自覚症状が現れる。
すぐに日常生活が送れなくなり、周りの者も不用意に近づかなくなるので、感染者を無駄に増やすことがない。
すなわち、感染してすぐに症状が出るようになれば、コロナ感染者数も減少していくはず。
　
第2波のウイルスは、第1波のものよりも強毒化するとのこと。
スペイン風邪の時がそうだった。
具体的には、死亡率が高くなるらしい。
だが、もし感染してすぐに発症するウイルスであれば、必ず沈静化する。
それがいいのか悪いのか。
